Yikes, that solo looks so hard to pull off, especially one-handed. But how can this not be the hardest song in this game? Oh wait, there’s one more left, isn’t there?
Tiers are labeled as easy, average, or hard they are to pass for beginners. Not for expert players to pass, 5 star, gold star, or FC. Snow (Hey Oh) is much harder than Afterlife. 2 guitar sections in that song that can seriously make your hand hurt. It’s a 5 on guitar according to the game because of the chorus being just alt-strumming without moving your frets too much.
Can’t say the same for the solo chart as hmx tries it to be more “realistic”. Check up Pulse of the Maggots and Scream Aim Fire (compare it to the WT version)
@@they2kguy822 Honestly, Guitar Hero's Aftermath looks undercharted than this but after seeing Scream Aim Fire, JESUS what madman came up with this solo chart.
Tbh i prefer GH chart, yeah its a simpler solo, but it is bit more fun that way even if it doesn't have the difficulty merrit as this does. Still fun song on this game, and on this engine.
So this song kicks a lot of butt and definitely fits with the new a7x song that came out yesterday As for me I've recently just got my first sightread fc of hungry like the wolf on rb2 on expert after about a year of playing and now I'm trying to get swing swing on Lego rock band or ocean avenue on band hero
Banger, probably my second favorite in the pack. This one's pretty tough to play, but also really fun if you can get the pattern down. For me, I've had the best luck hitting the snake part in the main riff super early. Since we have only one more song left in the pack, which one's coming after Track Pack 2? The Metal pack, or are you saving that one for last?
Don’t get walk of life, but check out the end solo of We Built This City. It’s more than enough for Devil tier (triplets just seem broken on rock band)
@@TR1PLE_6 "Afterlife" has only 1 brutal difficult section, the rest is easy on Guitar. It can’t just be Impossible tier because of just ONE brutal guitar solo. It’s Nightmare tier since the rest of the sections are too easy to call it "hard". Harmonix screwed up the tiering in RB3.
@@Darkshock25 We Built This City is even 100% easier, yet it’s still a 5 demon head. So that can’t be it at all. Afterlife is far far far more chokable than We Built This City. The game saying it’s 4 doesn’t mean it’s on point.
@@SpaceMetalFerrari248 Tiers are labeled as easy, average, or hard to pass for beginners, not for expert players to pass, 5 star, gold star, or FC at all. Even if the solo is ridiculously hard, it’s only 1 really difficult section and then you’re good. I know the Rock Band franchise way more than anybody else. Ignore the tiers they set up on the RB3 disc songs since they’re more inaccurate than the other games.
@@Darkshock25 I’ve been playing the franchise since 2007. Also, you can’t exactly say the verse to Afterlife is anyway below 5 especially when it was on par with various Rock Band 2 songs in the impossible tier. I doubt an ametuer would feel safe with the verse to said song.
@@SpaceMetalFerrari248 You forgot the choruses and the bridge of the song. It’s definitely Nightmare Tier on Guitar for sure. It can’t just be Impossible tier because of ONE brutal guitar solo. They can claim that it is the hardest to gold star or FC, but Harmonix doesn’t care what people think. They went with tiered to pass for beginners for that order, that’s up to them. If you look at Visions on RB2, it’s not the hardest song in the game because it’s too short to be called the hardest. Painkiller is longer than that and has 2 guitar solos which one of them can easily make you fail out if you can’t hit it that well along with everything else in the 1st solo with no overdrive. You can agree with your own opinion, but I get so offended when people don’t include the words "in my opinion" to themselves to what they’re talking about, since that will make people disagree with you without it. Warning: I’m really good at outsmarting people.
Ah, my sweet summer child... The towel trick is a method of simulating the effects of hyperspeed. It's used in the games that don't already have hyperspeed (or breakneck speed) built in, aka GH1 and RB1 (and all the track packs). You drape a towel over the top of your TV and cover up a little bit of the top the highway, essentially giving yourself less time to see and react to the notes coming down the highway, much like what hyperspeed does. It actually works great.
this songs guitar solo alone carries this song to 5 star difficulty
One of the rare songs without a countdown, one of them being Welcome To The Black Parade
This is my favorite song in Rock Band Track Pack Volume 2 and my favorite Avenged Sevenfold song.
Coming off of Indestructible, this difficulty spike is steeper than Mount Everest.
A true masterpiece by my all-time favorite band Avenged Sevenfold… very well done!

The guitar hero chart is better because it charts the string instruments in the beginning.
its guitar hero, not VIOLIN hero HAHAHAHAH

I think RB2 put guitar at 4 dot before bumping it up to 5 dot. The solo alone is absolutely devil though. My pb is only 74%
