I remember getting this demo Fireworks back in early 1988 from rolling stones records in Chicago. Great album. Cool German band from Bavaria. \m/..

Sadly i didn't start liking the band until 1989. When their song Sword and Stone was out on the shocker OST. Of course, Radio in the Minneapolis/St Paul, MN area,
(like MTV) NEVER Played them. Metal Edge magazine never mentioned them, etc... While i didn't like the shocker song, at least now i knew they existed & began looking for
other songs & albums by them,

Me too!! 1980s-early 90s Hard Rock/Heavy Metal. Some of the best bands & albums ever. I mean, Elvis is my fav artist. As anyone can probably tell by my
more recent uploads LOL. But the 80s bands are the reason i started this channel in the first place

I loved this band right from the get go! Been a faithful Bonfire fan since '88! Thank you for posting this!

You're welcome, but while i wish I could say i liked the band back then. sadly No. I never heard of these guys until years later. They never got played on Radio or MTV as i can remember

I was in the Army back then. Fortunately, we were more likely to get access to some pretty cool bands. I actually heard Guns and Roses before they got big.

So you're just a few years older than me then. I was still only 16 in 1988. But i had been a Hard Rock Metal fan since 1987. Just not Bonfire unfortunately.
As For GNR, like most fans. I never heard them until Appetite was released.

@@gregsretromusicchannel7000 Appetite came out, and a couple of my buddies bought it the day it got released. I was blown away. Unfortunately, I really don't listen to them much anymore. Radio destroyed that album.

yeah that it did, Paradise City & Sweet Child O' Mine especially. Between radio & MTV heard of enough of those songs just in 1988-89 alone.
