This is by far my favourite version of the song. To me, it conveys feelings of intense regret for letting go of someone. A deep pain for not fighting for her while you still could. But at the same time, accepting the fact that nothing you could have done would’ve changed anything. All you can do is selfishly hope that one day she will remember you and realise she could’ve had better.

Although I have had many crushes/obsessions (I’m very gullible). This song shines a light on my feelings towards girls I have had crushes on but also my feelings of self-resentment for still being single.
