I can't thank you enough for this!!!! Lack of phone Bluetooth audio in my Jeep was driving me nuts, especially since Bluetooth music would play just fine! I ended up just splicing in my front audio wires into the rears so I didn't need to re-pin the harness, thanks again! 👍🏻
Wow !! we were having this exact problem on our 2018 Jeep JK Sahara with the Alpine System after installing a Alpine iLX-W670 head unit .. After watching your video we corrected the wiring as per your directions and the problem was solved ... thanks for the very informative video 👍
Wow, I spent so much time searching possible solutions for why Google assistant wasn't working in the car. This did it! You are a gentleman and a scholar and I would buy you a drink right now if I could!
Great information. Explained the problem, then the repair with brief & clear directions, This was exactly what was wrong with the stereo install in my Ram 2500. I am so thankful for this video.
Omg this is just what i needed. I can now hear calls through the speakers! I used my mini flathead screwdriver to remember the plugs and scared the whole time i would break one but finally got them out. I reconnected the green and purple but guess they do nothing which is fine. My negatives were both on the inside after the solids so i followed what i marked and that and the grounding for the light green were the last things and I now have full access! Just wish I didn’t mess up and got the right stereo with nav but kid can use her phone for now. Thanks much!!! Oh and the vehicle involved was a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Sahara.
I wish I saw this video before I installed a deck in my brothers jeep! I wired the rears with the fronts. Anyways it works. It was a "4 wire" as you call it. He had the infinity premium system! Re-pinning the harness is genius! best method I've seen! Awesome video !
im having the same issue in my jeep with infinity sound system. after rewiring did all the speakers for the infinity system still work for regular functions like listening to the radio or bluetooth musics?
Thanks mate, this worked perfectly. I couldn't get my hands on a pin extraction tool - so I just cut and soldered the wires the other way around. Cheers!
This issue is the opposite of mine. I have an 07 Silverado. I installed the Pioneer avh501ex & all was good. A couple weeks later I installed the amps & bypassed all factory wiring. It took about another week to realize during phone calls they can hear me but I can't hear them & when I get a call it doesn't ring through the speakers. My navigation plays through the speakers just fine. Could this repair possibly work for my issue?
It's common with pioneer radios but can happen to other brand radios depending if they only use front or rear speakers for BT audio. Some brand radios will use all 4 speakers at once for BT audio and you wont notice this issue. It's a combination of jeep/Chrysler/dodge and most pioneer radios
Thank you so much for this info. My Eonon 2178, installed in my 2007 Chrysler Aspen, would not hear phone calls. I made the wire changes (cut the wires as I did not have the tool) and it works great! The sound from the stereo is even a alot better and clearer. Thank you!!!
I'm having this issue in my '08 silverado. Difference is, mine has an aftermarket system. My door speaker are amplified so I didn't have to use the wires to the harness. How can I fix this?
Hi, great video but the one thing I wasn’t certain of is when you connect it to the other part of the harness that goes into the back of the radio do you now connect the newly repinned grey and white to the purple and green wires that go into the radio or to the grey and white?....
Elt_rrible Del Barrio any solution? Hi.. I’m having the same problem with my 395BT 2 din. On my 07 Nitro...I can’t hear the other person on the car sound system but they can hear me. I already tried with 3 different phones including a Sony, iPhone X and a cheap Chinese smart watch. Help needed here. Thanks
The factory RHB Uconnect in my 2016 Chrysler Town & Country Limited has extremely low volume on incoming calls. If I don't turn the radio volume button to max, I won't hear anything. On max, I can hear but not well and it sounds like an old transistor radio. Any idea what the problem is? (I just got rid of a 2011 Town & Country Limited and my iPhone SE (1st gen) worked flawlessly and never had sound or volume issues.
@Five Star Car Stereo Would this be a similar issue for GM vehicles? I have audio when listening to music but no phone audio through Carplay or a bluetooth connection.
I have a factory radio without the premium sound system. I had a shop install a amp and replace my door speakers. Now when using the car Bluetooth they can hear me but I can’t hear them and when using car play I can’t hear them and they can’t hear me. The shop tech said he put a pac loc on the rear speaker channels to power the amp for the door speakers cause when using the front speaker channels I get static and buzzing in the speakers. Any ideas.
2004 Durango with a Kenwood DMX7706S, Idatalink Maestro RR, bluetooth works fine. All apps on Carplay work fine. When making or receiving a call through Carplay they can hear me but I can't hear them. I've tried different Apple cables to connect with and as I said the calls are fine if I'm using bluetooth alone. This makes it impossible to receive a call while using any apps in Carplay. Any ideas?
Hello, i just installed head unit android stereo at shop automotive. i got one issue about incoming call or outgoing call no voice, no ring, no sound from car speakers. But i can play music from my phone true bloetooth, sound or car speakers work well. Idk how to fix it or i have go back at shop automotive ?
So I just installed a Pioneer AVH-4200NEX into my 05' Dodge Magnum R/T with the premium sound. My question is, is this also the cause as to why I can't hear my Google maps when connected to Android Auto? It can hear my commands, and displays them but, I never hear a response/reply back. It's a bummer not hearing turn by turn navigation. Would switching these pins allow me to hear it then?
+brandon laielli yes the idatalink harness is nice, We did this because most people don't see this information on the instructions. For that purpose it will help users of any harness.
Quick question I just had my sound system installed on my 2019 tundra but I just noticed that when I make a phone call the sound go the the subwoofers also when I try to use my Navigation, do you guys know what the problem is?? Thanks
hello I have the same problem that I don't hear only bluetooth calls after installing an android cartablet on my 2015 jeep renegade. I have come to the conclusion that it is a connection problem. how can i do thanks
Hi, i have a grand Cherokee with a factory amplified system and i have exactly the same problem the point i want to check is that my car connector looks a bit different than the one in the video. it is a 22 connector as well but there is two big cable inputs in both sides and another 10+10 lines one above the other. should i do the same as recommended?
Hi.. I’m having the same problem with my 395BT 2 din on my 07 nitro..I can’t hear the other person on the car sound system but they can hear me. I already tried with 3 different phones including a Sony, iPhone X and a cheap Chinese smart watch. Help needed here. Thanks
Whats the part number on the harness? Im trying to bypass the factory amp on my Nitro. I cant find the female of either harness, as i would like to make a pig tail in case i want to back to using the amp.
I have the sony axv 1000 unit and my speaker on car play is not clear at all, I have to cancel car play and turn speaker on phone and it is clear. Can you help?l
Is this for all years with premium sound? 03 dodge ram with infinity audio. I have a Sony head unit now and all fade and balance works as it should. Installing a Kenwood ddx794 Thursday do I need to repin? Btw amp has not been bypassed.
HELP ME ,.... I just installed a aftermarket Android 8.1 Head Unit in my '12 Tundra NON JBL and having Blue Tooth Mic problems. I tried to use the Mic that came with it but get I continually get echos on the other end they sound good to me but I when I speak from out the tundra all they here is echos,... Then I purchased a mic and installed it and have the same problems, I brought a adapter and tied it into my factory mic and with no luck echos and more echos please help FIX this MIC situation driving me crazy,..!!!!
I have mitsubishi pajero 2006 with rockford audio system, when i install 2din android stereo,, during calls, the person on other end hears his own voice, with delay of 1-2secs, i hear them excelent as well as they hear me good ,but this voice reflection is annoying for anyone who calls me,can u help?
I have a 7200nex in my 2012 grand cherokee. I never had a problem with it before. Now when i make a call from my phone it stops playing my music from my speakers and makes the beep/connecting sound like its switched over to call. There is no audio. I can hear it thru my phones speaker phone if i hit my speaker phone button but in order to hear it thru my car speakers i have to manually hit the drop down on my head unit and switch to the bluetooth audio source. I never had to before. I did have work done on my ac vents in my dash, maybe they hooked up something wrong? Would this possibly fix it? Anyone know? Its driving me crazy.
I’m having the same issue caller can hear me but I can’t hear them I have a pioneer avh-501ex, I purchased the 100 dollar after market harness should that fix my issues without doing these steps
2006 with kicker sound/ sub in trunk, I use the front from head unit to the only wires, Left/right in factory wires, and a little more than 1/2 volume distortion,,, Rear out/ Rear in no distortion but Bluetooth does not work correctly???? Anyone have any ideas?
Bluetooth audio for calls usually, not always, only comes out of the front channels of a radio. Connect a speaker back to the front channel of the radio and hide it in the dash. Fade sound to rear on the radio. Fader doesn’t effect Bluetooth output
hello I have this problem with my vw tiguan, I have switched to android china radio and when I make phone calls through bluetoh they listen to me well but I do not hear anything. Do you think I can solve it with this manual? Thank you
I didn't know this was for cars. I'm having this same problem on my phone and can't get any answers googling. I don't have a car. People can hear me on my bluetooth but I can't hear them. Can't hear videos either. Can anyone help?
the title of video is opposite of the info. Who hears who. In my truck they cant hear me (like in your video description) Your solution is the opposite
crazy that a video from 7 years ago was a fix to my 2012 jeep wrangler with a boss audio head unit! you’re a life saver thanks again!!!
I can't thank you enough for this!!!! Lack of phone Bluetooth audio in my Jeep was driving me nuts, especially since Bluetooth music would play just fine! I ended up just splicing in my front audio wires into the rears so I didn't need to re-pin the harness, thanks again! 👍🏻

Thanks a ton

Just did this and solved the issue. Just one thing, you make quick work on those pins but it's not that easy. Handle with care!! In all, works great.
I wish I saw this video before I installed a deck in my brothers jeep! I wired the rears with the fronts. Anyways it works. It was a "4 wire" as you call it. He had the infinity premium system! Re-pinning the harness is genius! best method I've seen! Awesome video !
2nsane2005 thank you
im having the same issue in my jeep with infinity sound system. after rewiring did all the speakers for the infinity system still work for regular functions like listening to the radio or bluetooth musics?
THANK YOU...I can finally use my phone in the car 😅
Thanks mate, this worked perfectly. I couldn't get my hands on a pin extraction tool - so I just cut and soldered the wires the other way around. Cheers!
Are you cutting out the rear speakers all together when you do this?
Thank you. Fixed the problem right away!
Thank you so much for this video!! Did exactly what you said and everything works now!! You’re a lifesaver!!
Thank you guys had just put in a avh 2500nex and this was driving me nuts in 07 300c thanks as always guys very useful help

Hey thanks a lot. Been banging my head against a wall. Tring to figure this out
But now this mess up the EQ if you’re trying to balance your audio?
At that point would you suggest Ryan new wires for the rear speakers?
So would i lose my rears??
Thanks. Will have happy customer later today thanks to you.
Thank you so much for this info. My Eonon 2178, installed in my 2007 Chrysler Aspen, would not hear phone calls. I made the wire changes (cut the wires as I did not have the tool) and it works great! The sound from the stereo is even a alot better and clearer. Thank you!!!

Wow, you rock!! That fixed my issue. Thank you so much!
I am having this issue with a Chevy Silverado. Any ideas?
Genius. Now i gotta figure out why my steering wheel controls dont work lol
Look up a pac swi rc interface
I can play music through Bluetooth but can't hear when I make calls. Is this the same issue shown in the video?
Same issue here, does this solve it?
No importa que tenga un amplificador para los medios ya instalado no tendré ningún problema con este metodo?? Grasias buenos videos
Hi, great video but the one thing I wasn’t certain of is when you connect it to the other part of the harness that goes into the back of the radio do you now connect the newly repinned grey and white to the purple and green wires that go into the radio or to the grey and white?....
Good question....how did you do it?
Fixed my problem. Thanks for posting this video!
Thank you this was really helpful!
Hi can u supplied the harness for Chrysler 300c
I have the same problem with my (08 Honda CR_V).... "They can hear me, I can't hear them"....!! Let's see if I can fix it!
Elt_rrible Del Barrio any solution? Hi.. I’m having the same problem with my 395BT 2 din. On my 07 Nitro...I can’t hear the other person on the car sound system but they can hear me. hello but doing this change will the rear speakers continue to work?
I was afraid of this as well, just tested and my rears are still functioning normally

that'll explain why I can't get sound. thanks for the help.
@Five Star Car Stereo Would this be a similar issue for GM vehicles? I have audio when listening to music but no phone audio through Carplay or a bluetooth connection.
So remove the purple and green and switch them with the gray and black?
Did this and now I can’t hear my factory sub. Any advice?? Thank you!
You switched the sound to the front. So you rear not working like it should
I have a factory radio without the premium sound system. I had a shop install a amp and replace my door speakers. Did you ever figure it out
Is that the case even if you are using a harness for amplified system? Would not that be corrected by using the right, harness?
I think this is the problem with my 01 dakota.. Do I need to splice front and rear speakers together?
I don’t have anything after market hooked up. I still have to crank the volume in order to hear the party on the other end.
2004 Durango with a Kenwood DMX7706S, Idatalink Maestro RR, bluetooth works fine. All apps on Carplay work fine. Did you ever try it? I have the same problem on my wrangler
Yea, it worked. Just gotta swicth the pins like in the video. I hear navigation and calls now.. 😎👌
Its youre using a maestro rr you swap speaker wires for non amplified. Opposite of pac rp4-ch11
Also maestro retains fade through the module
+brandon laielli yes the idatalink harness is nice, We did this because most people don't see this information on the instructions. For that purpose it will help users of any harness.
Quick question I just had my sound system installed on my 2019 tundra but I just noticed that when I make a phone call the sound go the the subwoofers also when I try to use my Navigation, do you guys know what the problem is?? Thanks
Will this work on a Toyota Corolla s 2013. I have the same problem with and aftermarket android radio?
hello I have the same problem that I don't hear only bluetooth calls after installing an android cartablet on my 2015 jeep renegade. I have come to the conclusion that it is a connection problem. how can i do thanks

It's fixed my bluetooth problem.
But now my back speakers not working

Any way thx alot for your shearing

+BAMBAM359 no this is only for 05 and up. If it works now you will be fine
Five Star Car Stereo thank you!
My problem is the opposite. How do I fix that.
This means that now all the speakers function as front speakers, so how do I get rear speakers separated?
I asked the same thing
@@Crimson-Ox seems you have to do a factory amp bypass and run new wires. At least there's a kit made for it available on Amazon
Hey, do you have a link for that kit?
HELP ME ,....

This appears to be my issue with a pioneer 7200nex in my 06 grand cherokee, but do I need the purple and green wires back in?
hey man did you find the soulution for this? i have the same car same problem

Same idea on an 2008 ram with Sony radio?
Works 2007 jeep jk with infinity soundsystem
I have this issue with after market radio in 2000 Honda Accord. I check the wiring diagram an it is correct. Any suggestions?
Make sure the the radios fader is working correctly
Where do I put green and purple?
Note the rear speakers don’t work?
I did it and the people on the other end still can’t hear me, what do I do?
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
Not sure if you'll see this- WHat happens to the rear speakers you disconnected? Cannot find the answer in the comments
I’m having the same issue caller can hear me but I can’t hear them I have a pioneer avh-501ex, I purchased the 100 dollar after market harness should that fix my issues without doing these steps
Did you get it figured out? I can't get mine working
Britt xo yea like wat he said in the video to mine to Best Buy, had to switch my front speaker wire to the front in the harness it self
2006 with kicker sound/ sub in trunk, I use the front from head unit to the only wires,
Left/right in factory wires, and a little more than 1/2 volume distortion,,, Rear out/
Rear in no distortion but Bluetooth does not work correctly???? Anyone have any ideas?

I had the same and its working for me
But now the back speaker not working.
It's work only the front

the title of video is opposite of the info. Who hears who. In my truck they cant hear me (like in your video description) Your solution is the opposite
How would moving speaker hook ups help them hear you ?
You are absolutely right. Totally confusing.
If they can't hear you it's an issue with your mic not speakers...
I have this problem on my Ford Mustang 06
I did this and lost my back speakers. HOW DO I FIX IT??
Hi, i got the same problem, is there any solution? Can i connect front and rear speakercabels or damaged this the soundsystem? Thank you
Does not apply to Jeep Renegade with beats factory amp as it has 8 wires not 4.
We have seen some cars with 8 and still have an amp, but it is very rare. We will keep an eye out for a Renegade, thank you.
I do think however wiring the front outputs to the rear input on the oem harness will fix any Nav or Bluetooth issues.
pioneer avh-110bt i have this stereo in my 2005 grand cherokee. But i cant hear them or they cant hear me. Whats the trick thanks man
thank you so much
Thank you, hope it helped
now i cant hear the sub... all the low end commkng from the front speakers in my jeep wrangler 2010.. plz help
Yep I have the same problem with my 2012 Jeep Wrangler all my low-end bass from my sub is gone
Did you ever get it figured out? I could use some help as well
Did you get this figured out?
Same here. Did anyone figure it out?
any updates?
You should just turn off your background music when making these video. Annoying and creates distraction when trying to focus on what you’re doing
I have a question what we have to do with the blue and purple from the radio
