  • The Beretta A400 Extreme Plus has a magazine tube capacity of 4+1, but for waterfowl hunting it may hold no more than 2. This video will show you how to remove the plug or reducer and also how to reinstall it. Removing the plug is very simple and can be performed very quickly in the field.

    I believe the 1 shell plug is for competition skeet or clays, where you only have 2 shells per pull.

    Just open the end cap and start pushing in shells. The shells will push out the plug.

    Long plug is for trap and skeet. Two clays, two shots.

  • @vman2025
    @vman2025 Год назад +2

    The trap shooting place that I go to only allows two shells. Most people bring their over and under, but I use my Beretta A400 Extreme Plus.

    The longer plug is most likely for competition shooting because you are only aloud 2 shells in the gun at a time

    Guessing the longer plug reduces capacity to 2 to meet sporting clays requirements and rules?

    Just found this out on my own. You can use the extra long plug to push your shorter plug out if you don't have pliers on you. Just unscrew the cap and push the long plug into the magazine as if you were loading shells. The shorter plug will pop right out and you can grab it with your fingers.

    Thanks for info. A little different for 20g: it has a little cap under the cap you have to take out to get to the plug. Weird thing: it loads 5 in the mag +1.. Canadian gun?

    I've lost several of those plugs over the years... some shotguns I could use a pencil in a pinch...with today's 3 1/2" inch etc. It wont work in many of them but it is a good idea to remember how long that plug is incase you leave without it.👍

    • @After5Outdoors
      @After5Outdoors  2 года назад +1

      Ive used everything from wooden dowels, to pencils as well over the years. They wouldnt work in this one though. Hopefully I dont lose it!

    Anybody know where I can get a replacement plug? I lost the shorter two shell plug, and I would like to have a plug so I don't get a hefty fine. I've looked online and the beretta brand seems to be sold out.

    Nice, as l do not have a gun, nice to see how it works, so novice, would it not be better to have more ammo in the gun, take care and stay safe

    • @After5Outdoors

      Federal waterfowl hunting regulations require a plug only allowing 2 rounds in the magazine tube.

    So removing that plug, the final capacity is 4+1?

  • @ireland_love_life
    @ireland_love_life 2 года назад +2

    So the reason for the plug where you can only put one in is for the likes of in Ireland☘️ you are only allowed to have two cartridges in your semi auto at any time.☘️🙏
