  • The North Carolina Zoo is thrilled to announce the new 10-acre, Asia Continent expansion is in development and is scheduled to open in 2026. Asia will highlight iconic species such as tigers, Komodo dragons, Asian otters, majestic cranes and hornbills and many more exciting additions!

    I think Asia should be near Africa and Australia while the South America and Amazon section should be near North America!

    10 acre is way too small for an Asian expansion, especially when compared to the NA and Africa continents and given the amount of animals it will display

      I'd bet like every thing they've set up that 10 acres is just a start to things. The Zoo owns even more land than most realize and has so much room to keep expanding and rearranging things :)
