Only beat Argentina 1-0 in one of the worst finals in recent memory. West Germany was a better team than Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia had better individuals.
I thought in comparison to previous qualifying tournaments, i thought the standard in this campaign by nearly all of the top teams was way down. No big results. The gap closed between the weak and top teams. A poor tournament followed in a country with tiny stadiums lacking atmosphere in Sweden.
