Lord Ed Vaizey Reacts To Holding An Early UK General Election | Good Morning Britain

Nadine Dorries, the former cabinet minister and a leading Boris Johnson ally, has called on Liz Truss to hold a general election to obtain a mandate for her policies. Dorries, who backed Truss in the leadership election, said there was “widespread dismay” at the PM for ditching key parts of her predecessor’s agenda. A petition calling for an immediate UK general election is rapidly gaining support, racking up about 4,000 new signatories every hour.
