- The first revenue run for the first two units in the new CPKC paint scheme. South of Nahant Yard we see first 357 followed closely by 251 with the new paint scheme. CP 9375 and KCS 4805, both stenciled below the cab numbers on the new paint. Thanks for watching comment like and subscribe.
Just think. We’re all so excited to catch these shiny brand new units in a new paint scheme, but in a few years when this scheme is everywhere we’ll be rushing around trying to catch the last few CP and KCS units still in “heritage” paint! Nice catch, Jeff! It’ll be nice to see these new ones out and about, but hopefully they won’t take over too quickly!
Yep, they will become Heritage units. Lol!
I’d say the same thing regarding the other train cars
nah, management isn't gonna be in any rush to have the paint scheme replacement happen en masse
That’s What I’m Saying! We’re All Excited To See The New Units But In A Few Years People Will Be Like:
Oh Look..! Another Boring Unit..
And They Will Be Excited To See Fallen Flags Like CP And KCS
@@VonWasHere13 given the track record of management, that "few" is more like 20 years at minimum
Very cool catches, I cant wait to see these units here in New York
May take a little while yet. I’m sure they will make the rounds. Thanks for watching.
@@jefftoft5568 Your welcome
@@WideWorldofTrains yo WWOT I kinda love your content when you catch a lot of CSX actions!
i dont like the bell tbh but i will be in Dunkirk soon to railfan
Nice! Welcome CPKC paint units!🎉
Thank you Derrick.
@@jefftoft5568 You're welcome! 😁🤗
I love those new colors on the CPKC gorgeous
Yeah, they are not too bad. Thanks for watching.
This is a railfan equivalent of a "summer blockbuster"! The delivery was equally rewarding as the buildup!
Thanks for watching, it is nice to see them in revenue service. More to come.
This is just the beginning! Great shot of these 2 units together!
It will start a slow parade of them, thanks for watching.
Hi SCMrailfan your LG64
I love how they are putting CP & KCS lettering under the numbers
I do too, just like NS did.
WOW, those CP/KC Engines LOOK AWESOME 👍🔥🔥🔥
Yep, they are good looking! Thanks for watching,
unstoppable really had a large budget cut.
Thanks for watching.
Amazing to see one of the first newly painted CPKC duos captured! The livery has a resemblance to AWVR from Unstoppable, so that makes it a little unique even if it’s rather basic.
It kinda does look like the AWVR scheme but not really
Thank you Alik!
Do you think they would put the CPKC scheme on an SD70ACe SD40-2s and other locomotives in the near future?
Of course yes, they'll be painting every KCS and CP unit into the CPKC paint scheme.@@Railfan-uf9mw
@@ejdsndnjI’ve heard it doesn’t fit on the GPs, which makes since because it was a poorly thought out design, but whether that’s confirmed or speculation I’m unsure.
Nice catch 👍🏻 i live where Canadian Pacific Runs so hopefully i see these units soon
Hopefully, with more to come down the road. Thanks for watching.
Wow CPKC RR! I had no idea….nice looking locomotives!
Great catch👍🇺🇸🇨🇦😎
Yep, they are nice looking. Thanks for watching Dennis.
Oh Thank You, just amazing that you got an amazing video of them in action , thanks you very much for sharing .
Thank you Peter, appreciate you watching. Glad you enjoyed it.
Great capture! Good work! Thumbs Up
Thank you!
Awesome i think its good paint i like it thanks for the post.😊😊👍👍
You’re welcome sir, thanks for watching.
Nice. Thx Jeff. The gloss black looks good. I imagine the turbo exhaust will dull it soon enough.
Oh, you know it. in a year or two they will look like the rest of them.
Wow, cool catch there Jeff, with the new scheme! (Dave)
Thank you Dave, long awaited!
Wow! Nice catch of the CPKC duo!

They are keeping the Heritage units.
Gotta Love the New Paint Scheme and the Rockin N Rollin an$ Train Pacing is Really Cool also. Thanks, Jeff. 👍🙏
Thanks Ken have a great weekend.
Awesome video Jeff of the bee CPKC units! These snuck out of KC on 251
Thanks Darryl, I have another video of them in Bettendorf with meet of two other trains.
Painted in KC I guess..
@@davehughesfarm7983yep both were painted here
Great catch Jeff
Thank you Ed.
Interesting that they’re keeping CP and KCS reporting marks for the time being…wonder how long that’ll last.
They’re doing that so they can have multiple locomotives with the same road number
Hard to tell, I know NS did that for a long time.
@@jefftoft5568 CN does it as well
@@BNSFrailfan01but idk if there are any CP or KCS locos with the same number
@@NorcalValleyRailfanThere’s at least 85 that share the same number, probably more.
Glad CPKC is still showing it's Calgary roots by dressing all the locomotives in a Flames Jersey
You must be a hockey fan, my favorite time of year. Playoffs, thanks for watching.
It is a shame to see the Southern Belle paint scheme go. I will miss it but never forget it.
True, but just think it will become a Heritage unit some time down the road. People will go crazy to catch one, just like a Grey Ghost is getting.
Nice video! Those are some FRESH Bongas!
Thank you, yes indeed.
RIP to the KCS Southern Bells
They will be around for quite a while yet, it will take some time to paint the fleet. If they even do that, thanks for watching.
@@jefftoft5568 I just hope they don't paint the Gray Ghost
And yet the KCS Southern Bell paintscheme is a superior paintscheme. This CPKC Option 1 livery seen here doesn't hold a candle to it.
@@Trainboy_4014 They probably will. Wouldn't surprise me if that's one of their first targets. I personally like the Gray Ghosts, even though the Southern Pacific gray units with the bloody noses are better IMO.
The new paint scheme uses the Southern Belle colors.
The world's most powerful diesel from CP and KCS has got a new paintscheme, and watch it's pumped power in action
Thanks for watching!
I’ve been waiting so long, and now it’s finally here! So excited to see more units like this
Yep, let the parade start. Thanks for watching.
Very good sir !!
Thank you Bronson!
Great catch Jeff! Amazing to see the new railroad of the decade!
Thank you, thanks for watching.
Epic catch of these wonderful new Locomotives
Thank you TrainMan 1070.
I love the sub lettering under the cab to identify each unit's original owner. They didn't have to do that since they're all one company now, but it's a nice touch.
NS did that and kept for the most part their original numbers.
It looks so good!! Great to finally see CPKC repaints on the line! Awesome catch!
Yes they do, thanks for watching.
Wow.
Awesome!!
Thank you Hunter.
Thanks for the shots thoses engines are awesome
I got the same locomotive as your profile picture LOL
Well the same locomotive
Thank you, I was happy to catch them today.

nice catch on the newly repainted CPKC units !
Thank you David.
Awesome catch! I'm hoping to catch these out east in between Toronto and Montreal sometime soon!
I'm sure they will be making the tour, with more to come soon.
Fantastic catch and Welcome real CPKC units!
Thank you, appreciate that. Thanks for watching.
Awesome catch! It's cool that they paired them up to make it look like a CPKC train!
Yep, it was definitely cool. Thanks for watching Jack.
Love how they are showing the locomotives Heritage by putting "CP" & "KCS" under the numbers
Yep, that is a good idea. NS did it when they merged with the Southern. Thanks for watching.
CSX also did that 1986-1988 i think
@@ejdsndnj I think you may be right.
Awesome catches, the CP and KCS paints will soon be like the fading Fake and Warbonnets on BNSF, catch the original CP and KCS locomotives while you can!
Yep, I think you are right. Thanks for watching.
I wonder if the Panama Canal Railway will follow suit... Also, KCSM reporting mark should also be appearing around too
I would think so, thanks for watching.
I got to see 9375 back in May next to 2816. It was pretty cool!
That’s cool, thought maybe more of them would be done by now and heading north. Thanks for watching.
They look SO GOOD
Yep, nothing like a freshly painted unit.
Love the new design!
It grows on you, wasn’t sure when I saw the drawing. Thanks for watching Mathew.
Nice video dude, love the content
Thank you, thanks for watching.
Nice work.
Thank you.
Nice catches!
Thank you!
Your welcome @@jefftoft5568!
Nice catch! Hopefully they paint some heritage KC units like fresh Southern Bell with CPKC emblems, white with CPKC & grey with CPKC. I also hope that they leave the KCS F units with the business passenger cars as they are. Just add the CPKC markings under the unit numbers.
They’ve already repainted some of the business cars, I don’t see them touching the CP Heritage units.
As a Canadian im so ready for this
I can imagine, thanks for watching.
Niiiice. Nice catch man. Keep up the good work!
Thank you, appreciate that and thanks for watching.
Nice to see these units popping up now! I can see the two locomotives have different reporting marks below their numbers, which is interesting.
NS did that for a long time, units marked for N&W SOU C of G CNOTP.. Thanks for watching.
😎
Cool
Thank you Matthew.
@Jeff Toft Rail Videos... Nice also CP 9375 was in Kansas City MO last Saturday with CP 2816 for Display & i'm hoping to see one of the New CPKC units as well!
I saw a post about that. I would think the flow of new paint will begin now.
It's a very corporate paint scheme, especially the CPKC. Is what it is.
It's a very 'cheap' paintscheme and isn't much. No thanks to the shareholders, IMO.
Yep, not much you can do about it.
@@jefftoft5568 Agreed, that's true.
Nice catching
Thank you Montavious.
You welcome
I really like this new paint scheme!

Awesome Catch CP 9375 CPKC Paint Scheme Power Looks Like Brand New ES44AC GEVO 9350-9379 Series Jeff
They weren't new just freshly painted, probably had some work done before paint.
Nice catch of the newly painted CPKC units. They were down here in Kansas City, and I missed them both. But I'll get them in due time.
Yes you will and more, just the start. Thanks for watching Arthur.
Not a fan of the KCS paint scheme getting replaced but at least the CPKCs paint scheme is something other then solid red like the now old Canadian pacific paint scheme
You me and a bunch of others but they don't ask us unfortunately. Thanks for watching.

I can relate to that, thanks for watching.
Nice!

Man I like those CpKc paint units 9375 and 4805
I do too!
I can’t look at the scheme without thinking of unstoppable. The only thing I can think of that I like about the scheme is they completely filled in the beaver logo separating it from the red background.
I guess the movie didn't make that big of an impression on me. Thanks for watching!
I think I might've seen you go past us while we were coming from Muscatine driving towards Buffalo...definitely a good day to chase, even if it got pretty warm later in the day. Great video Jeff!
I saw quite a few people as I chased them, it probably was me in the blue truck.
@@jefftoft5568 Yep, we were in a white Chevy sedan.
They finally gave CP GEVO some new bells
I guess I pay enough attention to that, thanks for watching.
Nice
Thank you Nancy.
Is that a new bell I hear from 9375 I like it
I couldn’t tell you, I did notice it. Thanks for watching.
They finally did a KCS unit
One of each so far, thought I heard another pair almost done. One of each again.
Wow. I would probably foam like crazy if I saw one, but in 3 (hopefully more) years I may be foaming like crazy over a CP or a KCS unit.
You are probably right on both counts.
Those are some bumpy rails
Good rail, just a few bumps. Thanks for watching.
Dang they do look awesome back to back...I always thought they needed a little more yellow and black upfront..But overall I like it..
They do look good back-to-back, thanks for watching Dave.
nice bell
Different.
Really digging the new paint scheme. I also find it interesting they added the initials of the railroad both engines once served, interesting thing to do seeing how many engines that run on railroads today don't show much proof of the lives they once had.
NS did, newer rebuilds are not.
@@jefftoft5568 Guess I somehow missed that, don't know how.
Wow, I just realized, there are reporting marks of the old railroads under the numbers, CPKC seems to be doing what Norfolk Southern did, and I hope the paint scheme gets nicknamed the "767".
I’ve been saying that, that’s what NS did. I think it is a good thing to show the previous owner.
The bells a bit weird but the color way and matching is awesome.
Its an electronic bell, yes the matching set was cool. Thanks for watching.
I like train videos on RUclips 👍
Thank you Denise.
Lots going on in my neck of woods with CPKC in N.Missouri...(Dawn, Mo.) They derailed #180MMX tore up 7 miles of property, laying new heavy rail while crews are here, putting in a 2 mile siding Dawn, Missouri, steamer and new paint!!!....I think the #180 and #181 will meet a lot here at Dawn, Mo.. Good stuff.
You’re in the middle of it all, thanks for watching.
Totally digging the new scheme although maybe a mix of other schemes for new CPKC paint would be great. But either way this has got to be one of the best paint liveries I've ever seen.
If it just had a little more yellow and black up front...But they look awesome lashed up..
Yeah, just a little less red would have been nice.

I was a bit disappointed with the new paint at first, seeing the other options it could have been. However, it is starting to grow on me the more I see it. Nice footage! 👍
I agree with you.
Yeah, I'm with you. It looks sharper than I thought it would.
New paint scheme looks very nice. Impressed that they are sticking with the road numbers from their previous railroad owners for now. I would have thought CPKC would begin the process of renumbering the locomotives as they repaint them. I know there are quite a few locomotives on the CP roster that could use some new paint by now.
It gets complicated with a huge locomotive fleet like this, NS did the same thing.
1:56 YAAYYYYYY CPKC ES44AC LET'S GOOOO!!!!!!!!
Yes sir!
@@jefftoft5568 OKIE DOKIE!!!!
Wow! those new locomotives on CPKC 251 look nice! The next thing that’s going to appear for CPKC trains are new hoppers, boxcars and other new train cars with “CPKC” logo.
Autoracks already do.
Nice Looking Paint Scheme Congratulations CPKC
Thanks for watching Rickie, it is sharp looking.
Insanity. I've known so little about the whole CPKC thing, so it's crazy to me seeing an actual paint scheme!
Also wondering if there was some kind of glitch with the E-bell on 9375
Just came from the shop, so I wouldn’t think there would be anything wrong. It has been a crazy ride, merger to changing track warrant area to CTC and now lengthening sidings for longer trains.
What's ironic is on the back of the newly repainted engines the first autorack was CN labeled.
I did not notice that, thanks for watching.
The repainted units look great! I can’t wait to see the new ones that are coming this year! I wonder if they will come with rear anti climbers and three dynamic brake grids?
On my second look, I see that #4805 is a repainted ex KCS unit and it kept its three dynamic brake grids and has KCS under the road number just like #9375 has CP under its number. I wonder if the new units will have CP, KCS, and KCSM and be split among the three components?
I would think so.
Good video, but I'll pass on the CPKC paintscheme. It's a slap in the face to the KCS paintscheme and I was gunning for Option 5 to be chosen --- not their current piece of garbage.
Yeah, the CP influence comes through with that scheme. I would have liked a little more KCS
I wonder if that'll be a tradition for the new paints, having the original colors from KCS and CP days still stenciled 2:50 3:06 under the number, or if it's a rare treat
I think that will be the norm until new units are bought. Then those units will be CPKC. Thanks for watching.
Nice catches. I wonder if I’ll see these CPKC painted units on CSX’s military trains since they still have the KCS painted ones of them.
I’m sure down the road when they get more of them delivered. Thanks for watching.
The first two CPKC painted locomotives are on the move with CP and KCS reporting marks below their numbers. Those two look good wearing the CPKC livery.
Yes, they do. Thanks for watching.
Hope they have a planned budget to repaint as many as possible. Will be nice to see. Wondering what it costs to repaint a unit in house. I’m thinking 10-15K.
Mid-American car in KC so far is doing it, I bet it is more a lot more.
