The album cover is like what the actual album is like. With opposites, like a Doberman is “supposed” to be a nasty dog, but really it’s just a happy dog chasing bubbles. Same with the happy/sad face symbol. Most of the songs have dark lyrics, but the music is light.
Well that’s my interpretation of it lol.

Literally just paused to comment same thing. Glad the Fall Out Boy Fam is unanimous on loving this one. It's unspeakably powerful- as an asexual, this song feels like what I imagine sex to be like. One of my top 3 favs for sure.
Man, I thought I was the only one who loved Heaven, Iowa. My first time hearing it was in concert, and I was blown away. I tried to find reactions to it, so I was wondering if it was being ignored. Now I realize it's a fan favorite.
Lol, that is the appropriate reaction to "Heaven, Iowa"! Best track on the album, and probably their best song ever.
Has the album grown on you? I remember you commented on another comment of mine. I feel like a lot of people who kinda hated on the album just needed a couple listens. I thought it was genuinely mid at first, but man this album has grown on me soo much
@@Liamcurranproductions Yeah, first impression was that this album was a 5/10. Now it's a solid 8/10 for me. IOH is a 9/10 and FAD is an 11/10. FUTCT is also an 8/10. Nothing else post hiatus has been more than a 4/10.

I am so happy that someone else loves Heaven, Iowa like I do. Easily my favorite track from the album. Top 10 fall out boy songs for me, maybe top 5.

I'm so tired of people saying "they don't sound like FOB." Yes they do! This is their sound, and they sound amazing. Sorry they didn't repeat the same album over and over, but I'd stop listening if they didn't change. This album is so good and it was worth the five years

Heaven, Iowa literally gave me that same reaction! I’m seeing them on tour this summer. This song better be played. It’s gonna go harddd in concert!! This album is really good, the placement of so good right now definitely underwhelming especially after Heaven, Iowa and then I am my own muse right after. So good right now is still my least favorite personally. It’s definitely a 6.5/10 this album is what their Mania album should’ve been. Experimental, but still sounding like the fall out boy that we know and love. This album is 9/10 for me. I think this album takes a couple listens for some people. Especially when you know the purpose of this album. Patrick stump said it’s an album they would’ve made if they didn’t go on hiatus after folie a deux. Has that older fall out boy tone to it, but also has something that any era of fall out boy fan can enjoy.

Ahhh im so glad you enjoyed it, i love this album dearly and relistens only make it better. Also YES Patrick is a huge MJ fan and grew up with that influence. so sometimes he has those little moments in his vocals here and there. If you enjoy that, I reccomend listening to his solo album Soul Punk if you haven't already, saw some of the commenters mention it too!! The largest volume of RNB influences and MJ-sounding vocals of his are in that album.

That was also me listening to Heaven, Iowa for the first time fr, I was obsessed with it for days! It was my favorite until the last song became my favorite in the end, I genuinely love all the songs, maybe only one of them isn't completely my vibe, which is amazing.
