In my opinion, the best of the LEGO DC minifigs came from the 2006 Batman era, and the 2012 era. I have the Joker's funhouse minifigs, as well as Catwoman, Poison Ivy, and Bane. For 2006, I have two Batman figures, Robin, Catwoman, Joker, Penguin, Riddler, Two-Face, Mr. Freeze, and the Bane fig, which is the most expensive in my collection. 2015 was the best year for LEGO Dc. Had the most variety, one of the few years I remember getting dc sets that had no Batman in them. Not saying I don’t love Batman, he’s my favorite superhero. But it was nice getting other characters with their own sets.

I actually remember owning some of these sets. The Two-Face one, Joker Helicopter one The Lex Luther mech, and the brainiac ones were the ones I owned. LEGO Batman 2 was the first game I ever played and this was the reason I loved these old sets. Good times.

this made me go back into my display and get out some sets from a corner that had been gathering dust since i started the display in 2014. The 2006 batman sets. As a kid about 5 years old, batman was basically my god. So better believe that my upper-middle class parents were willing to get me to stop asking for batman toys by buying me all the new batman lego sets. I already enjoyed the original lego themes at the time, so batman legos was an awesome concept to me. I had all the 2006 sets by the end of the year, and even managed to weasel my way into getting the 2008 sets from the batman line as well. But by 2014 I was 13 and really got interested in displaying my lego collections. I had a section for DC, but the 2006 batman sets and they're figures felt too "Small" or "beige like" to me. Where there wasn't much past 2 minifigures and a vehicle most of the time. So I threw together a new shelf that I called the "vintage" or "antique" section, can't quite remember which now, with all my lego sets from the og batman line, and some original lego theme minifigures. I considered throwing any comic-con minifigs I had there too but I felt those guys needed their own display, so Bizarro, that awesome Batman suit, Black Suit Spiderman, and Shazam sat in their own section. But after watching this, I went and got out these old sets and figures, cleaned them up a bit, replaced some loose parts, accidentally broke the torso on black suit batman but luckily I had like 7 in my spare minifigure collection. And securely packaged them all in seperate bags, gave them to my little cousin.
2:50 my mom bought me that set last summer and I absolutely love it! For starters I really like the box it’s just something about early 2000s Lego box designs that I find really awesome it’s probably just nostalgia but the boxes of the newer Lego set’s just don’t give you the same feeling that makes you say wow cool, a good example of this would be comparing the 2006 Lego City sets vs the ones now. I also really wanted the cat woman because she is my favorite from the Lego Batman 2 game.
Glad you obtained your favourite sets!👍 You know, there are some relatively new sets giving us something interesting (i kinda like 2020 batcave and Ivy/Firefly set), but most of them are actually the same nowadays. I like LB Movie sets though - there was never that many villain vehicles either before or after, imho

I got the first two sets. It was sooo cool back in the day to play with the vehicles and then use them in Lego Batman 2 game. Also idk if you noriced, the batmobile on the first set, it looks cool but the wheels are too close to the other pieces and doesn't drive to far cause it gets caught on the other pieces.
the one lego dc set i would love to have is the 2005 batcave set but sadly i will never be able to get it cause it is so expensive, on amazon it went for about 2000 dollars and the only one i could find on bricklink for a cheap price was 1000 dollars.
I remember buying that Joker steamroller set at Target on sale for like $24! What was really cool though, was that when I went to buy it at the checkout, it rang up at $12! One of my best lego buys!
When I got the steamroller set the fourth bag was wrong. It came from a totally different dc set. Lego ended up sending me out a replacement set after a few attempts just to send some of the missing parts but was such an odd experience 😂

I recently bought all the Lego Dc 2012 sets too and it just feels like a part of my childhood is completed I used to play Lego Batman 2 all the time and had a book displaying each mini figure lol I wonder what little me would think😂

dude I didn't know HOW lucky I was... I had every single set you mentioned in the video (excluding the Braniac set) and they were so freakin cool. The Arkham Asylum set is my all-time favorite Lego set ever, just because it was so well-made, had great figures, and I think it's more fun to have a jailbreak than a Batcave attack or something. The only set I missed out on that I desperately wanted was the original Joker's Funhouse set (which you got the Riddler from), but they kinda made a sequel with the Joker's Theme Park set later on, so I was fine with that. Overall a 10/10 Lego series... I started caring less once the Batman V Superman sets started coming back. These Legos were my childhood, and I'm glad to see someone else is giving them the attention they deserve :)
I remember when they revamped Lego DC after not making any since 2006. I remember seeing the commercial for the purple and orange two face set and immediately begging my parents to get it. Simpler days

Ive beaten the lego bstman 2 story mode over 40 times, it never gets old, best lego game ever. I got it on my birthday, on january 2013 for the ps3. Me and my brother used to roleplay as batman and one of the villians, and we'd fight each other and race around the map. Good times
I've also been rebuying older dc sets. a lot of the wave 2 (that released during the Lego batman 2 game) I owned as a kid. I've also been getting the great justice league sets I missed due to not being into Lego at that time (I got the gorilla Grodd one and darkseid set last week), and you're right they don't make them like they used to.
this is also my dream lego dc sets/minifigures!!! we have the same taste im mostly looking forward to collecting just the figures before to create my own jlu using minifigures from lego batman 2 but you have me convinced to also buy some of the sets themselves that arent that expensive and i will probably do so, a few years from now since im still starting college but im so excited in collecting these my self in the near future just hope there is still stocks and for the prices to dont go up that much..
Dude the artic Batman was one of my first Lego sets and I remember leaving it in like a McDonald’s or burger king, something like that, and we went back to find it and it was gone.
I have most of these sets growing up but the dynamic duo set will always have a special place in my heart that was my very first Lego set I remember my dad asking me if I wanted it in the house and then when I came home the next week I was stunned still want that 2006 bat cave and batmobilebtho😭😭😭

i think the reason they stopped doing dc sets on the whole dc universe instead of just batman is because the dceu came in and made a bunch of shit movies and when lego adapted them they probably just flopped, while before they just did them on comics
The "Justice League" sets were the pinnacle of Lego DC. I'm talking about all the sets like Grodd goes banana, the Javelin, the set with Brainiac and Supergirl, etc ... They still made some cool sets later like in 2019 with Firefly and Poison Ivy fighting a Batman mech. And of course the Lego Batman movie sets, even tho it was centered on Batman which is a little downgrade in my opinion ...

You should get the 2006 2007 2008 Batman era, to be honest in my opinion I think they are the best og Lego Batman sets. I am so glad I was born in 2006 when Lego Batman started back then!!

@@ChrisTBG what I like about dc is that theres lots of unique cars for the different villains, id buy more marvel sets if they made more unique cars (I don’t like the more basic cars like speed champions). But I like the ones that had unique abilities such as the samurai x car from ninjago 2017, where you could turn the cockpit from side to side and the wheels would turn the direction you would turn it. Or the new dragons rising ninjago zane car that can spin if you push down on the spoiler (I’m using ninjago as a reference bc that’s all I can think of).
They should make big sets like the Daily Bugle, if they did for example the Hall of Justice or the headquarter of the Legion of Doom ... I think that many fans are ready to crack their wallets open but they don't get any good reason to do so ... The laste big set was the ugly cube batcave, even some fans of Batman were disappointed ...

Great collection I love Lego Batman but I’ve only bought the figs from the Batman sets the Star Wars sets are really the only sets I still buy and my favorite Lego theme and just theme of all time but after looking for Batman figs for awhile I got a Batman lol, custom printed Jared Leto joker, 2012 Harley Quinn, 2012 two face but put the 2019 two face hair on him I think it looks sick and red hood lol and I have a penguin and mr freeze and scarecrow somewhere but I might get some updated versions eventually would love to have the entire bat family and some more rouges I’ve always loved this theme and the Batman video game really made me a fan and get into Batman even more and the 2006 and 2012 waves are very nostalgic

I remember buying that Joker steamroller set at Target on sale for like $24! What was really cool though, was that when I went to buy it at the checkout, it rang up at $12! One of my best lego buys!
When I got the steamroller set the fourth bag was wrong. It came from a totally different dc set. Lego ended up sending me out a replacement set after a few attempts just to send some of the missing parts but was such an odd experience 😂

I recently bought all the Lego Dc 2012 sets too and it just feels like a part of my childhood is completed I used to play Lego Batman 2 all the time and had a book displaying each mini figure lol I wonder what little me would think😂

dude I didn't know HOW lucky I was... I had every single set you mentioned in the video (excluding the Braniac set) and they were so freakin cool. The Arkham Asylum set is my all-time favorite Lego set ever, just because it was so well-made, had great figures, and I think it's more fun to have a jailbreak than a Batcave attack or something. The only set I missed out on that I desperately wanted was the original Joker's Funhouse set (which you got the Riddler from), but they kinda made a sequel with the Joker's Theme Park set later on, so I was fine with that. Overall a 10/10 Lego series... I started caring less once the Batman V Superman sets started coming back. These Legos were my childhood, and I'm glad to see someone else is giving them the attention they deserve :)
I remember when they revamped Lego DC after not making any since 2006. I remember seeing the commercial for the purple and orange two face set and immediately begging my parents to get it. Simpler days

Ive beaten the lego bstman 2 story mode over 40 times, it never gets old, best lego game ever. I got it on my birthday, on january 2013 for the ps3. Me and my brother used to roleplay as batman and one of the villians, and we'd fight each other and race around the map. Good times

I've also been rebuying older dc sets. a lot of the wave 2 (that released during the Lego batman 2 game) I owned as a kid. I've also been getting the great justice league sets I missed due to not being into Lego at that time (I got the gorilla Grodd one and darkseid set last week), and you're right they don't make them like they used to.
Brother next year I hope to God Lego will finally release Lego DC sets with superman leagacy so stay tuned for that.

You probably already knew this but the first two sets, Batmobile v Two-face and Batwing v Joker, are remakes of 2006 sets.

The sets are very nostalgic and mainly because of them being in the games.
i think the reason they stopped doing dc sets on the whole dc universe instead of just batman is because the dceu came in and made a bunch of shit movies and when lego adapted them they probably just flopped, while before they just did them on comics
The "Justice League" sets were the pinnacle of Lego DC. I'm talking about all the sets like Grodd goes banana, the Javelin, the set with Brainiac and Supergirl, etc ... They still made some cool sets later like in 2019 with Firefly and Poison Ivy fighting a Batman mech. And of course the Lego Batman movie sets, even tho it was centered on Batman which is a little downgrade in my opinion ...
Yeah I miss the Justice League sets and even the batman movie sets had characters other than the joker and batman but now that's all they make

@@ChrisTBG what I like about dc is that theres lots of unique cars for the different villains, id buy more marvel sets if they made more unique cars (I don’t like the more basic cars like speed champions). But I like the ones that had unique abilities such as the samurai x car from ninjago 2017, where you could turn the cockpit from side to side and the wheels would turn the direction you would turn it. Or the new dragons rising ninjago zane car that can spin if you push down on the spoiler (I’m using ninjago as a reference bc that’s all I can think of).
They should make big sets like the Daily Bugle, if they did for example the Hall of Justice or the headquarter of the Legion of Doom ... I think that many fans are ready to crack their wallets open but they don't get any good reason to do so ... The laste big set was the ugly cube batcave, even some fans of Batman were disappointed ...

Great collection I love Lego Batman but I’ve only bought the figs from the Batman sets the Star Wars sets are really the only sets I still buy and my favorite Lego theme and just theme of all time but after looking for Batman figs for awhile I got a Batman lol, custom printed Jared Leto joker, 2012 Harley Quinn, 2012 two face but put the 2019 two face hair on him I think it looks sick and red hood lol and I have a penguin and mr freeze and scarecrow somewhere but I might get some updated versions eventually would love to have the entire bat family and some more rouges I’ve always loved this theme and the Batman video game really made me a fan and get into Batman even more and the 2006 and 2012 waves are very nostalgic
