  • Hey everyone! In this video I am going to create a GUI with Tkinter that utilizes the packet sniffing capabilities of Scapy to list the IP addresses on your private network and the IP addresses that they are communicating with.
Specifically, the Tkinter GUI has a Treeview that lists each IP address using Scapy's sniff function.
Learn how to use Scapy and Tkinter in this Scapy tutorial and Tkinter tutorial!

I came across your video looking for ideas for a code I'm doing to scan a network for IP addresses and create a database with Pandas and parquet file format (maybe a database like SQL, I don't know yet). With them then the idea is to be able to read the MIB variables of the equipment (originally for Cisco) and get the product ID, location and serial number.
Once this is done, the health of the database should be maintained with periodic queries to see if there were additions, deletions or equipment out of service momentarily. A plus would be to draw a dashboard with this information.
Your video was very instructive and detailed as it allowed me to learn about new libraries and gave me a path for where to research to achieve my goal. Thank you very much and continue with your RUclips proposals as they are very good! Greetings!
