    Excellent video. It covered all the aspects of getting a job in technical writing. Some amazing points I liked about your explanation:
    1. Spend enough time to figure out the industry, company and niche that you really would like to be a part of. Do research, analysis, self-study and observe where you are gravitating towards.
    2. Figure out your options after point#1
    3. Take information calls, research job descriptions and study about the industries, companies that are part of your options.
    4. Prepare solid resume, cover letter and portfolio of your work samples. This is very very imp point with respect to any job nowadays.
    5. Interview is a two-way process. Interview is not interrogation. You should ask questions to the interviewer about anything related to the job and company. Many people don't do this as they are afraid and think that it is not a good practise.
    Most of the points discussed in this video applies to the job searching process in any field of work.
    Thanks for the video!

    Hi Amruta,
    In the written test, if I have to describe my writing experience for Web-based application and Traditional software, then what should be my approach, in terms of writing style ?
    When I started writing, I got a lot of sentences starting with "I will do xyz, then I will perform abc..."

      There's no standard technical test to become a technical writer. Some companies include a technical round in their interview process, but that varies for each company.

    How much a Technical Writer is paid as a fresher? Can a technical writer change their field to Analyst?

    • @AmrutaRanade
      @AmrutaRanade  10 месяцев назад +1

      The pay depends on the industry and the company. And I think tech writers can move to an Analyst position, but don't think it makes getting into the field any easier.
