Kona discovered the temple during the construction of his lab. Along side that, there was an infected spider there. Therefore there were no interactions with Kona and spidella

It really makes sense why Kona doesn't want to work with Spidella because of the note written by Kona that said, "green means they're very independent". And Kona's skin has green eyes so it makes a lot of sense!
