That is a Tenodera sinensis ootheca and the nymphs are different from the just hatched Stagmomantis carolina nymphs I had. Just after hatching Stagmomantis carolina L1 nymphs have green legs with a red stripe on each leg except the two front legs and have a red body. They do not all hatch at the same time, it takes several days. A few hours after hatching L1 Stagmomantis carolina nymphs turn brown and are about 7mm long.
