I was two rows behind the stricken man who apprarently had a heart attack. Iyoun woman directly behind him immediately started CPR which was continued by a doctor. When his heart had staedied he was carried out into the hallway. Frightening to watch but amazing care by audience members.
I would love to see Miss Yuja Wang take the baton and take the job to conduct the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, she is more than ready to go up the next step and be permanently resident of the Los Angeles California. California offers tye most beautiful weather and a loving Yuja Wang fan club.
More then ill. The man had a heart attack and his wife was verbally beside herself with desperate horror apparently loud enough to be plainly heard by the orchestra and a shaken Yuja.
@@AndreyRubtsovRU I think my comment has been misinterpreted. I put, I was there, in quotation marks not because I was in fact, there, but because those people who were there (I was not) could or would one day in future years or decades from now recall that day to others when they had the privilege to see a legendary performance: "I was there, I remember that magical day".
Well done. A world-class pianist AND such consideration for others. The entire concert stopped for this medical emergency. I'm glad the unfortunate gentleman recovered from this. (But I have to say that if I were in the front row of the audience & Yuja stood in front of ME wearing that silver dress then I'D probably have a "medical emergency"....)😜
What really happened: the resilience of musicians, the respect of audience to the performance, the efficient incident management of ushers and Carnegie Hall staff. This is a classical music-dedicated channel.
@@pianoeverafter the question you ask in the title does not represent the content of the video. If its a classical music channel, then don't bait people into clicking a nothing saying video when going off that question. Anyway, it doesn't really matter.

Music brings out the best in me, i wonder if it also helped to bring out the amazing compassion in this situation.
Hi Joel, what was happening on stage? How did Yannick know to stop the concert?
Yuja plays so beautifully, it might give me a heart attack too
Turns out the marathon was tougher for one of the listeners than for Yuja herself. Glad everything turns out to be ok.
The heart attack happened only 20 minutes into the concert
woah I follow you on IG then I found you in my recommended here!! great video!
Thank you 🙏🏻 I don’t post as much here but am working to change that!

I know there is a audio recording, but is there a video for the rest of us who couldn't see it live? ❤
She had to have the bench fixed after the 1st movement during rach 2 A few days later😂
Omg, thankfully it was in between movements?
Love the background Scriabin
What is it?
Good-looking vlogger face. Good price on those wraps. What else would one need from clickbaity YT short hahahaa
Someone in the audience felt ill? Best regards
Yes
Heart attack is seriously ill.
I was way up in the balcony and heard the lady cry out so we knew what was going on.
More then ill. The man had a heart attack and his wife was verbally beside herself with desperate horror apparently loud enough to be plainly heard by the orchestra and a shaken Yuja.
@@7ivoryticklerhow was Yuja reacting to this?
She is clearly heart-stoppingly talented... 😐
inappropriate pun
that's not- 💀
LMFAO
Too soon
One of those type of events that become legendary with time; "I was there!"
so is "I was there!" needed? Is it noteworthy or wholesome?

Get your mind out of the gutter. We focus on the art of the music here, not vanity.
least horny classical music listener
I just saw Yuja perform Rach’s piano concerto no. 2 last night at the la Phil. It was an incredible performance! Seeing her do no.3 next week!
bagus sekali ! matur suksma
What really happened? Good title to this video. Don't expect an answer here, though.
Yeah I feel scammed
Little time classical vloggers trying to immitate big bois clickbait :-)

That’s crazy!!! 😨
What was the background music used in this video?
It’s beautiful isn’t it? This is Scriabin’s Prelude Op 11 No 11 :)
@@pianoeverafter Thank you!
After watching this I still don’t understand what happened 😂
😂😂 Well you know 1) she stopped playing abruptly because of an incident and 2) the concert resumed after 30 mins
It's in the comments, if comments are true then someone in audience had heart attack.
Pointless click bait video. It's a race to the bottom with RUclipsrs. Bit more self respect please.
I can’t stand the way that woman bows her head. So annoying flopping her head down like that 🤦🏼♂️
Lol. Weird, but that's how she's always been doing it. I find it humorous than annoying...
Find something else to get mad about
@@ShredST oh there are plenty of thing, don’t worry about that. But I’m sticking to this subject and suggest you try to do the same.
What a shame Yuja doesn't have the benefit of your wisdom to guide her.
She might otherwise have had a successful career.... 🧐🙄
Rachmaninoff concertos even for the faint-hearted.
Yuja is life!
Not really sure what this means.
