    I like this bloke.
    No drama no bullshit videos.
    After 25 years of driving class 1 I,am still learning stuff.
    The job has changed in that time,but it's better than it was 25 year old👍👍👍

    Hi Billy you are without a doubt an inspiration mate it was a shame when I started with George Baker myself wasn't the best start the lorry wasn't as well equipped as it should have been and obviously with my family issue (my dad is still hanging on, I'm in Tenerife now spending some time with him) but thank you for all your support was much appreciated 👍👍I have no doubt you will continue to do extremely well and inspire others.

    A very sensible video. You’re very accurate on the majority of what you say. Except about Trucker Tim. He’s not a trucker but anyways all the best for your next year on the road bill.

    Followed you from your initial training vlogs . You are an inspiration and so glad you have reached this milestone . I passed class 1 at a similar time but haven’t driven much since due to tacho hours alongside a full time railway job but so want to change careers . Just so difficult to give up my 30 yr job I hate with a good company to follow my gut feeling as I know it’s what I want to do but just not brave enough to commit .
    Best of luck for the future

    well done im only 9 months in, did the same course as you after watching your vid, then did tramping for 6 months, I'm so not suited to that I've now got a permanent job trunking with DX a good company to work for but pay is not so good salaried at 35k, silver lining i sleep in my own bed every day.

      @Scott.mac889 Год назад +2

      At least you worked that out though. There’s lots of people that won’t just admit tramping isn’t for them. They blame everything else but don’t look at themselves. It’s very much a case of the ones who can do and the ones that can’t shouldn’t. Good to hear you’re doing something else still in the trade. Safe travels 🚛💨💨

      He won't mention him because on board with an HGV did a video on him a few days ago and it was funny this guy thinks hes a GURU he needs to pull his head out of his ARSE.

    Hi there I have been watching you for sometime and I must say you do a good job,I wanted to ask you your advice I have just passed my class 2 last week and I want to get class 1 but do you think it's better for me to get some experience in hgv driving first and then move up to class 1 I would like to hear your opinion on this thank you , Gordon

    • @billyhgvuk
      @billyhgvuk  10 месяцев назад +1

      Congratulations 🙌! It really depends on how you feel. I felt confident and happy to go straight into Class 1 with no experience. Yes it isn’t easy, but I stuck with it. Every individual is different! I’ve never driven a class 2, so wouldn’t know TBH. I’ve always wanted to go straight into class 1, so I did.

      You’ll been fine Simon. Just listen, learn and take your time and you will pass with flying colours my friend. I did my test in a semi automatic buddy 👍

      Thanks very much billy appreciate the reply. i watched your videos from the start. It hit home a bit as i lost my dad in 2019 due to asbestosis so i know how that feels. I am doing my license as ive wanted to for a long time. I am aiming to buy my own lorry and go free lance as i run a business all ready with my wife so it will be a extra income more than anything. if i have the confidence i will up load videos of progress. All the best billy and keep up the good work. p.s would you ever look at becoming a owner operator@@billyhgvuk
