Far easier to take the wheel of and remove the airspring from that side, then you do not have to remove the sensor. Also if you leave a car door open the compressor won't start so no need to remove the fuse.

Question, I replaced the driver side rear bag on my 2011 GL450 and the passenger bag looks fine I have not changed it yet. I drove it for a while and the malfunction light has come back on? Is there a code I need to clear or have someone reset something in the system? Thanks
