I have to disagree with your noting that replaceable batteries are a con over the rechargeable units.... The expected HA "lifetime" of a replaceable battery unit is basically determined my the users care of the aid, keeping dry, not dropping, etc. The expected "lifetime" of a rechargeable aid is that of the battery itself which is 500-700 charging cycles or so. That means when the rechargeable battery dies within two years, the ENTIRE aid is basically JUNK. The manufactures cost of a rechargeable battery - in bulk - is less than ONE DOLLAR each and by making this not replaceable, it is the very best illustration of PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE - EVER.... Give me control over having the ability to install a FRESH battery every 12 to 14 days or so is a beautiful option and with the cost of 60 size 312 batteries at about 20 bucks, a "power cost" of only 20 dollars for 30 to 45 weeks of use.... (My Boost HA would get 12 to 14 days from each 312 battery), SO, do your own research on rechargeable battery life and you will definitely come to the same conclusion....

Really hope you get your hands on the ones Bose is releasing on May 18. Sadly they are not rechargeable either which is disappointing.

What is even "sadder" is the FACT that with daily charging, rechargeable hearing aid batteries will DIE in 12 to 18 months.... They call this "PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE".... With a HA with replaceable batteries that is properly cared for, they can/will last for MANY years.... Get smarter, do your research, stay away from any device that has you LOCKED IN to rechargeable batteries.... (Unless bill gates is your daddy :-)
