I just finished WuWa's new chapter and Carlotta's companion story quest. All I can say is, I am smitten and definitely down bad for the Montelli's youngest second lady. The VAs did a phenomenal job bringing each character to life. Even the antagonists delivered peak voice acting that it made it easier to get absorbed in the story telling and animation. The music, the animation, the characters' designs, the place, and gameplay are all chef's kiss. Carlotta is definitely a character with the best character development and story telling after Jinhsi. The intrigue and conspiracies are more dynamic and cleverly delivered in the introduction of Rinascita's region. Compared to Huanglong, I am more invested to exploring Rinascita after finishing the 2.0 chapter. And one of the main reasons is because of Carlotta and the Montelli family. Can't wait for the part 2 of the new chapter!!!!
I will literally never get over Peter Bramhill's performance here as Giacomo Fasciaspina. He's the voice of Thancred in FFXIV and he's way more subdued in that game. Here, you can actually feel his panic. WuWa's really gone all out with the VA work after the feedback in 1.0.
