This song is choosen by fans in a dutch top 2000 for 2019. This list will be broadcast on radio between christmas and New Year. Millions of people in the Netherlands listen to it. Remarkable because this is the first time to be in that all time list.

Every song ever written is written for Floor, her range and style.
@@TTArt the way I see it, not all the songs are written for her, for example, Scaretale, I adore Anette's version, I think is the only song Floor can't beat her, though I do like her own version of it, is a matter of taste, I prefer Anette's witchy voice over Floor's growl. Also with Tarja's version of Nemo, I like Floor's version, but is too soft, I still prefer Tarja's dramatic style on that one. The thing is that Floor's voice technique is so versatile that she can adapt to almost every style she wants and make it her own, but in some of them, she isn't quite "there".
@@missrubyphoenix Yeah, I have to give it to Anette: Scaretale and Slow Love, Slow were really great when she performed them, easily as good as Floor's versions, if not even better.
Unfortunately these are the only two songs in which she really excelled and is not surpassed by Floor.
And yes: Nemo or Walking in the Air are absolutely Tarja's territory.

Heath, if you occasionally enjoy an adult beverage, I highly recognize you go and taste some wine as the song suggests! More specifically, some mead which is wine made from honey (I prefer sweet mead to dry, but you’ll have to try a bunch for yourself 👍) and mead was a big time drink of the Vikings, so I think it would be appropriate with this song 😎

I'm gonna see them live in 11 months but my hype is already real.
I've said this before...Floor doesn't dwarf her fellow bandmates....she makes them shine just as bright as she does. Its not a compliment to her but to them as well because they're just as great. For example...Troy. Before Nightwish I would have never considered the flute or bagpipes to be worth listening to. Yet due to the nature of the band and how they work together they've introduced me and many others to this whole new facet of metal and music in general.And as you well know they can hold their own outside of the band.Cheers!

Not sure if you have checked out Tuomas’ other band Auri? Troy plays pipes, and Johanna (Tuomas’ wife) is on vocals. I think you will really enjoy it. Plus Johanna is another woman with the voice of an angel

The first time I heard this song, this line "write a lyric from a song only you can understand" resonated so much with me. I dabble in a lot of creative endevours, but I feel like writing prose is my strength. I heard that line and immediately knew that 1) I had to learn this song and 2) I was going to write for me. Write what I want to see written.
And then I heard this version and I have to suppress tears each time at how beautiful it sounds. Floor, you are definitely worthy of Mjolnir.

OK… Story time….
In 2012 Nightwish were touring the U.S. and when they got to Denver, Anette Olzon, their lead vocalist at the time, got some serious flu… a few hours before the show.
So, good guys as they are, they asked the Denver audience to choose and say if they prefer to see a show with those two ladies singing the songs that they knew or cancel the show….guess what happened…
So one night in Denver the incident known as “The Denver Debacle” came to happen and many of the lucky ones that attended that show witnessed something magical.
Why they called the “The Denver Debacle” I’ll never understand, anyways do a search on youtube and you’ll find evidence of what I’m telling you.

The scream and laugh is what keeps people coming back. The song is just a fun song, it seems to me that Tuomas is intentionally writing music with a 'lighter' or 'happier' theme than previous records, obviously a sign of his and the band's maturity but also playing to Floor's stage presence and command of the audience. BTW she would make an awesome She-Hulk IMO.
This Song is so living. They must have heard it from a song bird.
The First Single, written for and recorded by Floor. if Tim was going to sing a Nightwish song on Beste Zangers, it should have been this one. Every other song she sang before this one was a cover originally written for someone else's singing style. it's such a stirring inspirational song. Another triumph from Tuomas.
It wouldn't have fit his voice and singing style. I think Emma or Samantha could have pulled it off though.

When you go see Nightwish, make sure it is a Big arena . Heard some guys talking about going and said because that the arena was small they couldn't use all of the props for the concert .make it IN A BIG CITY.

It's a beautiful ballad and Floor is joined by two other breathtaking vocalists.
And if you want some amazing flute/pipes tunes that rock way more, including someone playing the violin like a lute, with Marco joining the awesomeness, I can totally recommend "River of Time" from the same concert!
