Grew up on the full series. From the Castle Wolfenstein ( top down game ) to the Castle Wolfenstein & the Spear of Destiny, on to Doom and beyond. Another great thing of that time was Shareware & WADS. Doom was one of the 1st games that allowed modding. The old Doom Barney wad was great. All monsters were Barney. Background music was the "I love you" theme song. Incoming fire was music notes
They just released a collection of Doom + Doom 2 with all the expansions and extra levels and a rerecorded sountrack. I've been playing the hell out of it. Its still SO GOOD

I got Doom 2016 in April for my 26th birthday(which is how old I am). In July, I got Doom Eternal on sale as a reward for getting employee of the month at my work. Doom is a great franchise!
Fun fact. The "Turbo" button was more for games/programs that needed to be slowed down. Otherwise the faster CPU's would make those games unplayable lol.
First person shooters back in the day made me motion sick I can deal with it now even though I still don't play first person shooters my 90's PC game was og Diablo
Yep…. And the fact that we actually remove the “Turbo” to slow down some games to have more time to shoot. It was never a “turbo”, it was a half speed mode…

90s? I got DOOM on my Switch today. I did get grounded because I wasn't allowed to have Doom but of course I did. Left it up to run to the toilet, parents saw it. Grounded.
Man I love playing Doom I have it for my PlayStation and I beat it on ultraviolence which is one of the hardest things to do. Also if you're susceptible to having seizures do not play or watch that game especially the one on the PlayStation.
