The Safri Boys, live at The Melton Medes Festival, Nottingham 1992.

After the passing of the pioneering Bhangra legend Balwinder Safri, I was so glad when I found, in the archives, this performance of The Safri Boys, from the summer of 1992.
This live show has been lifted from the first of three, ‘Bhangra Beat’, programmes. These were, one hour specials, which were broadcast on the UK ITV Nighttime strand at the time, covering ‘The Melton Medes Festival’.
This was the fourth national festival of Asian Arts and Music and was presented by Apna Arts in Nottingham, England.
The programme presenter is Harkirtan Singh-Raud.
