Did not expect the effects to sound that good. Also, I full expected Metal Dude to crash through the well like the Kool-aid man when you switched to the Metal effects. Love the look of that flame maple on the neck.
Sounds pretty good, especially for an entry-level guitar. All you need now is a clean combo amp, and you get some free "pedals" to go with it. I do wish there were more options, like mixing effects or creating your own custom effects, but that's pretty advanced stuff anyway so it's kind of a wash for beginners. I hope Bullfighter keeps this up, maybe even packaging it with a good, clean combo to make an all-in-one kit for beginners.
I think I saw Sean check this out , it's pretty cool and out of the box thinking from this company. I don't know how these companies are doing it , amazing guitars for what you get.✌️🤘
Great evaluation. Very thorough. You covered everything. I saw a review by Scar My Guitar and they said a battery didn’t come with the guitar and did not mention that the battery was re-chargeable which did not make a lot of sense to me. Does the guitar get the Bald Shredder seal of approval?
"Batteries are for flashlights, not guitars." - Bill Lawrence Bill said that to me when I bought pickups from him. I was thinking of putting in a preamp.
The sounds are good enough that I'd suggest this to a beginner as a first instrument. Forget getting a cheap, lame amp, this is cheaper and sounds better. Get some nice headphones instead and use them. It'll sound epic and fun, and it'll spare the rest of the house having to listen to their early attempts. Then once they've gotten better, and been able to experiment with those built in tones, they'll have a better idea of the sound they want from an amp and can choose one that leans in the direction they want. They'll still have a killer Strat with a good quality neck and looks like decent hardware to jam on.
I would prefer a hard tail, I never use the trem anyway, and most of the ones I have tried bring it all out of tune. The electronics portion needs to be a more neutral color, they are not going to sell as many of these as they would like because it does look like a toy, instead of a really cool addition to the guitar.
Look at the "About this item" section on Amazon. The very last bullet point says "160SE guitar features an Alter solid body." I'm pretty sure they meant Alder. There's no way this is a maple body. It would be a lot heavier and budget brands don't make bodies out of maple.
I've followed you link but it is showing $299, if they get it back to $210 I'll definitely get one. Do you know if it can be powered by the usb plug only or does it have to have the battery installed to use the built-in effects? Thanks.
Nice guitar for the money even without the effects. The pink and blue control cover is a big 🤢 for me but the Bluetooth connection is a great idea. Nice all in one practice unit.
@@thebaldshredder I'm surprised you don't like it, with your whole 80's theme going on. Put some neon color knobs and pickup covers and I bet that control plate will fit right in! \m/
Not my cup of tea... 🍵 Gibson did this decades ago even had automatic tuners that stayed in tune, This why you have PEDALS & Multi Effects Pedals that have Sims for AMPs Cabs Speakers Drum sims Mics Pedals etc... I like the guitar with out the Crap You are paying for that in the price... But you only have to a pedal board & or a Multi Effects Pedal like Donner Arena 2000 or The Boss GT Line 6 etc.... Cheers 🍻🥃🥃😎🎸🎼🎵🎶🎶🎶
Cool guitar but i will never for the life of me understand why they put those vintage trems on beginner/budget guitars. From a beginner perspective its unnecessary complication and more learning for them. From an experienced player perspective id rather have a hard tail because the trems on budget guitars rarely return to tune properly, you use it once and youre way out of tune.
I don't think they are thinking anything other than, what does Fender and Squier put on the vast majority of their stats? They are simply copying what sells the most. If 90% of the Fender Strats were hardtails, then all of these budget copies would be hardtails too.
I have a Bullfighter bass that I love. It's actually become one of favorites over much more expensive basses.
It sounds pretty good. They could be the first brand to have a guitar with onboard electronics that is truly successful.
Really neat! The effects section sounded a little better than some of the low end multi-effects pedals out there.
Did not expect the effects to sound that good. Also, I full expected Metal Dude to crash through the well like the Kool-aid man when you switched to the Metal effects. Love the look of that flame maple on the neck.
Westcreek has a new shredder guitar JX-50. I like the tuning pegs on that Bullfghter.
That is so cool!😎Excellent playing like always!!👍🏾

I gotta say Wow on this one ! That thing is AWESOME ! Perfect for traveling like I do.
What color are you ordering Bob?

Reminds me of my first guitar -- a Cort Effector purchased from a Sears catalog...but better.
Amazing bang for your buck! Great sounds!
Wow. That guitar is sweet!
Really neat guitar. 😊

For that price? Yep.
Looks like a cool axe
Cool guitar, nice sounds to. Worth 219.00 for sure 👍

Hey Richard, do you play with the bottom side of your pick, like George Lynch does? Hard to tell clearly in the video. Great job as always!
I'm not really sure what that means, so... I don't know!

One thing: The Amazon listing says the body's material is Maple. Which one is correct?

@@thebaldshredder Yeah, I kinda guessed when you said the weight that it wouldn't be maple. I was just confused when I looked at the listing.
Great thank you 🙏 i😊
The fact that you can't customize the patches is a no go for me. Maybe have an app like the Mooer GTRS guitars or something....
Huge price difference there. Make it like the GTRS and it won't be $210.
@@thebaldshredder True... that's why this good for practice if you choose to go that route... might be good for buskers also...
I hope they come out with a335 style
I can't wait to see electric guitars in 10 yrs. Pedal makers better think of their future in the industry.
Nah, in ten years guys will still be screaming about their tube amps, pedal board, and tone woods! LOL
@@thebaldshredder probably so
Are you going to get the new fancy Donner 600 or 700? They are trying to break into the big time.
Hoping to have a full review on the 700 in September.

that pink and blue thing bugs

So if you're using one of the presets, does switching pickup configurations change the tone of the preset?
Yes, the same as if you were using your amp instead of the presets.
I wish they put that ugly control unit on the back. Aside from that, the effects are way better than expected.
That's pretty cool
You can’t edit the patches???
If no, then hard pass for me.
That's interesting. I used to wrangle bulls in my younger days. Thanks RJ
So you're saying that you were a ... Bullfighter!
@@thebaldshredder Kinda, I fought with them but they usually won.
whats with the My Little Pony colour scheme on the control panel?
🤘
It's $299 on Amazon...
It's a novelty that'll be thrown to the wayside like so many before. How are you going to change patches while shredding?
not bad really. wish i had that 40 years ago

I would not buy a guitar that won’t stay in tune with the trem.
Well then you aren't buying any guitar with a trem unless it's double locking.
