This series is an invaluable resource for any artist or music lover. I find that much of what is in these conversations can translate to a great number of productive activities - whether you work in the arts, are an educator, deal with the pressures of the public in any way, or work on building one's own discipline in private. Thank you!
probably the best interview i ever watched! Lawrence is among the best tenors in history for me! i love this channel! thank you for the great questions!
This is bliss to watch. I first heard him on the Met finals broadcast, and I knew he was going to be a star right then. I kind of hoped he'd someday do Otello--but that's just not who he is as a singer. Verdi's loss is bel canto's gain.
America is so divided. So many black musicians still receive more acceptance in Europe before they make it in the US. I guess it's always harder in your home territory. Thank God it's changing.
@@Tkimba2 He spoke about being black and having to work harder. Also Jessye Norman and other black artistes have spoken about the role colour or ethnicity play in classical music. If you have a concern with that, talk to them, not me. Argue with their experiences, not mine.

A DELIGHTFUL interview - congratulations to you both! So honest, open, positive and cheerful!
Excellent interview.
We should all focus on the things we can control, only.
A wonderful interview with one of my modern tenor heroes who hails from my neck of the woods! I loved the questions and the answers.

I have a question for Mr Brownlee will you ever sing Otello ?
You’re amazing! Why didn’t I know about you?

I believe he won that title, too.
