The story about Fennekin and Riolu appeared in my mind right after I've got to listen to this beautiful song - it usually is this way - I imagine a story listening to the soundtrack over and over again.
Thanks for the support on this project. 16-years old me had no idea this animation will blow up one day. It means so much for me and reminds me of the times when nothing in my animation was forced and I had just fun animating c: Thanks for being with me for all these years!

Oh you have no idea how inspiring and motivating it is to see all the commens about nostalgia. Like, I didn't notice how fast these four years had passed, I feel like I've finished this animation a month ago >w< I'm so happy reading all the comments about how you used to watch it as a kid and now you re-visited, I have teary eyes because It reminds me of good old times when everything was so easy. MarlineAnimates I loved this animation when I first saw it and it formed my love of fennikin. I even tried to animate it myself but that was 3 years ago when I could barely even draw a frame. I came back to this recently and I still love it. Thanks from an animator in training ^^

I had a Riolu after I just beat Corina in xy I got a Lucario then my Riolu evolved! Lucario is number one out of my favorite pokemon!

I'VE FINALLY FOUND IT!! I used to watch this video a million times when I was a little girl, I loved it so much, this is one of the things that made me like Pokémon so much, I remembered every single frame of this video and every word of the song, but I could never really remember the name and I eventually gave up searching, but today RUclips blessed me with this video appearing on my feed, thank you so much for making this awesome video, it's really an important part of my childhood and I'll never be able to thank you enough for it

This animation means so much to me, it really was the first step in a timeline of events shaping me into who I am. for that I thank you. I think that’s a different Pokémon. Look closely at the ears. They’re a little too round to be a Eevee? I think it’s a Cinccino. It could be a shiny Eevee but who knows?

I was 8 when I saw this video, it was one of the things that made me want to peruse art, and is a huge source of nostalgia to me. Seeing how far you’ve come as an animator is really incredible, and I hope I can do the same. I’m 15 now (and recently so), and I still love this video as much as I did all those years ago. I can’t believe it’s been this long and I’m so grateful for the memories.
I saw this as the video attached to an ad, and I was like "this looks like it was made in paint by a warriorcats kid" so it's nice to know it was in fact not made for this weird Pokemon running game and actually made for fun.
This is almost 4 (5!) years old, but people still watch it, and that makes me happy. Have a good day everyone, and stay indoors!

I watched this when I was a little kid and I haven't seen it in almost five years. I didn't even know what the song was. And I finally found it again. This animation shaped my life. I found it a while ago and watched it over and over again. It means so much to me. I can't believe it's already been 4 years. I was listening to this song on my playlist and I can't stop thinking of this wonderful animation. Thank you. I've always seen Riolu and Fennekin together since this, even picking it in my Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon file. These two mean so much to me. Thank you. I really hope this can change more lives too.

I can see that thousands have already said what they wanted, but not only is this nostalgic to me, my MOTHER loves it! I play Marlines's videos when she is sad and she actually gets into a better mood. Truly a wonderful animation in history so far.
This animation really means so much to me. I found this when I was super into pokemon when it was originally released and honestly the memories and nostalgia i have attached to this is insane. It really shows how powerful friendship is and I can connect to this video on a pretty high level with what has happened in my life. It really shows how friendship can change and help a person

I used to cry at this. Every. Single. Time. It was so inspiring to me, and it still is.

I’m kinda late but when you think about it this would make a good mystery dungeon story, but instead of you being a human, you could start as an abandoned starter Pokémon that ended up wandering to a abandoned Pokémon-inhabited forest. It would be pretty cool, considering it wouldn’t be a “I need to return to who I am”, instead, it would be a “where is my trainer/partner” type of scenario. Simaler to the Gardevoir’s never-ending loyalty to her trainer in PMD1, even though you were abandoned, your Pokeball loyalty instinct would remain. Also, in addition to that, imagine if the dungeons were forests and having to avoid wandering Pokémon trainers. It would be pretty fun, running along with one of your partners, until you finally make your way home... only to be abandoned again, giving the story a bittersweet ending. Because no matter who you are, what you care about, or what you do, Riolu, your partner, will always welcome you back.
That would be an amazing story...
Lonely Person I agree. Though, it may make more sense as a new spinoff altogether, rather than another Mystery Dungeon story.
That would make me misty eyed. That would be great game! I would picture the end credits being that animation. Perhaps you could get a view of how pokemon see us instead. Like maybe city's and evil teams. The trainer that abandoned you could also be an evil team member and in the end, you could find a trainer that does care about you! You would evolve after being rejected again, and founded by a better trainer with your friend. Maybe you could choos the ending, stay free or stay with a trainer.

This is such a nostalgia trip, I remember watching this video over and over with my friend in 3rd grade during a sleepover. I haven’t seen him since 5th grade bc I changed schools bc I changed schools in 6th and then moved away, but we would always watch this and all your other animations. I remember even dancing to the Time Lapse meme in the living room and singing Hot Potato together with another friend all the time in school. Idk if you’ll see this, but if you do, thank you for making my childhood Marline!!

I remember the first time I saw this, I thought, “Woah, holy- How someone do dat so cool wat-“ And now nearly 3 years later I’m looking back and still thinking the same thing. You managed to do a full animated amv for Pokemon with full coloring and line art. It’s absolutely stunning to see its growth over the years. No bs this was one of those animations that really motivated me to do art and ect 7 years ago, currently reminiscing the days where I practice drawing in my 3ds 8 or so years ago was nothing short of a core memory. Finding this is like talking to a familiar friend that you haven't spoken for almost a decade.
