Hard to believe this was 13 years ago, time just flies by like that, but definitely a classic episode of Graham's show. Lovely guests especially Dame Shirley, she's charming, adorable, down for anything if it's meant to entertain as long as it's classy, because that's what she's about, sheer class and talent. Thank you for this upload. A delightful experience to see Shirley Bassey, Hard to believe how many years have passed since I heard her record album for the first time. I was 14 in NYC. In our building lived friends of my mother's also in show business who had a nanny for their baby boy. She was from Ireland. I would visit them from time to time and the Irish nanny who's name I have forgotten asked if I'd heard of Shirley Bassey and I said no. She went over the moon in that charming Irish way about Shirley and presented an LP and proceeded to play it. This was 1962. I was immediately overwhelmed by her power house voice and talent. She is a legend of the highest order and it is wonderful to see her still beautiful, charming, gracious and going strong as an entertainer. I feel Graham neglected his other two guests, perhaps unconsciously due to admiration or fawning, not sure. He gave due attention to Michael although he was very offensive about Michael's home town plus other subtle slams which Gilbert joined into, not nice. Michael diplomatically responded and defended his home town. One must acknowledge he behaved as a gentleman whether acted or genuine but he'd have been justified lashing out at both Graham and Rod. He was visibly a bit insulted and maybe hurt which was sad. There is no call for this. He is a fine actor and seems a very pleasant chap. Graham never got to the real home town of Rod Gilbert and actually gave him minimal attention. Cheers. Ps, I am really not sure whether the comments about the man who impersonated Shirley was terrifyingly good or terrible??

I am usually decent at identifying where people come from, but I can never seem to identify people from Wales nor can I recognize a common accent. I can’t figure out why. I clicked for Rod, who was one of my favorite guests on taskmaster, but I enjoyed meeting 2 new Welsh people.
What sort of humour is this that the host and audience roar with laughter when a woman is compared to a hippo and described as 'past her sell-by date' (2:54 - 3:20). I liked Graham Norton show till I saw this but I think this belongs in the gutter. How would you feel if you were Kim Woodburn? Wonder how Graham would like being compared to a leprechaun or gremlin, as he's not the prettiest human being? Turn things around and it feels very different.
