Here are some creative ways to build more fruits and vegetables into your child's daily diet...Top a bowl of cereal with a smiley face: banana slices for eyes, raisins for nose and a peach or apple slice for the mouth. Make frozen fruit kebabs using pineapple pieces, bananas, grapes and berries. Take kids food shopping. Each week, let them pick out a new fruit and vegetable to try. Try fruit smoothies or frappes for a quick healthy breakfast, or afternoon snack. Keep lots of fresh fruits and veggies available, in an easily accessible place. And when they've been good, allow them a little treat.
