- Mr. Sanwal Dhami is a renowned Punjabi intellectual, author, poet, historian, and RUclipsr. The recording of first-hand witnesses of 1947 partition-based migration is his hallmark and masterpiece. Mr. Dhami has recorded the memories of 100s of elderly persons. He is a pioneer, from Indian Punjab, of this unique kind of work. Team Desi Infotainer has immense pleasure to trace out old residents of Mr. Dhami's village Singriwala, Hoshiarpur.
Desi Infotainer is a Pakistani Punjabi RUclips channel. We are covering the history, culture, and heritage of Punjab. The people of both Punjab are our target audience. We want to elaborate on the positive aspects of Pakistani society which is, unfortunately, not being shown on mainstream media. The way he talks and tolerates the non stop elders while talking, tells a lot about his parents. I have never seen him getting irritate. Today I was watching Dhami bhai while interviewing a Chacha G from Sargodha ( a professor ), he was hardly to the point but salute to Veer Dhami for not being offended even a single time. Since I am from Sargodha, so was interested to listen to Chacha G Sargodhvi, but he didn’t catch the viewers. Anyhow, I enjoyed the way Dhami sb was dealing with him so respectfully. One can learn a lot from Dhami sb that how we all should behave with our elders. If Dhami sb read my comment, I would request him to interview someone or any family who had migrated from Sargodha City. Much interested to know how was the environment in Sargodha city during the sad times of 1947. My grandfather died in 1978 at the age of 105 and likewise, my own father died in 2010 at the ripe age of 98. They both used to curse a local Muslim character who stabbed to death one Dr. Kashi Raam, a noble soul from Sargodha. The killer himself died in a miserable condition in late 80’s. Old residents used to say that unjustified murder of Dr. Kashi Ram was the actual reason for killer’s bad days in his last age. Almighty Allah is very much there in every human without the discrimination of cast, colour and even faith. So it’s the ultimate right of every human to be respected and honoured. Lastly, I also pray for the Nobel soul of Dr. Kashi Raam who was remembered by the residents of downtown Sargodha (Block No. 1 to 16) till their last breath. Dr. Sb used to examine the poor patients free of cost. I don’t know where his family later settled in India.

I think this old man you spoken to from Pakistan is probably lot older than five years old at the time of partion. Because five years old child can't remember that much. I think he must have been around about ten or twelve years old at the time sanwal dhmi sahib. Nevertheless very nice programme you conducted.
