As someone with curly hair too, I don’t think this product really works for our type of hair. Does’t have enough power to leave the hair looking smooth and makes it freezy.

That really happens bc of ur hair type, it wouldn't look smooth like natural straight or wavy girlies because they have softer fair and it's not that thick too
I thinks this has a learning curve, it takes some time to get used to it. Sometimes ppl just don’t know how tu use the tools properly cause they’re a bit tedious to use.
I just recently received my Dyson Airwrap and used it for the first time three days ago. My hair is textured wavy and it ended up being frizzy, although I only used the soft brush to smooth it. I didn’t expect too much but I believe I will have to practice the techniques. I have seen other videos where the curl is more tighter and denser than mine and the hair looked phenomenal. I am not ready to send it back yet, but it is pricy
I love your shorter hair! I had purchased the original airwrap and ended up selling it. It took so much time because I would need to blow dry straight and then use the attachments and my hair felt very coarse. I have curls like yours and was hoping Dyson would just come out with either a round brush attachment with the two types of bristles like the Revlon has or just a standalone airbrush. I’m still voting for the Revlon because I can straighten AND give volume and curves in one step, much easier and shorter process, not to mention a huge price difference. My hair always was one of my traits that i adored. Yet i always had problems styling it. It is thick and heavy, somehow wavy, not straight, but not curly either. Trying to comb itstraight makes it frizzy and curling them up with stuff and products just won´t last. I thought about buying a dyson really long but the price was just too much. But now i did and omg my hair is thriving. It makes perfect curls that even last for days without damaging my hair. You have to be patient and learn how to use it correctly, but damn, it is sooo worth it.

I think it did a good job! Do you feel that the Dyson does do less damage to your hair than other heat tools? I think that would be the reason for going for this one against curling with regular heat tools. It does a very good job if it the Dyson really is better for your hair. I like the straighter curling barrels on the new one. I long for the Dyson airwrap. One day!
i have the new one i got it a few days ago and it’s my lifesavor . i feel like no one takes about how nice your hair not only looks, but feels. my hair feels like i just left the salon after using it. my hair also doesn’t feel burnt as it would using other heat tools. the curling barrels are actually really fun to use and make doing your routine go by so much faster (if you have long thick hair like me) edit: if you want your curls to stay,use a hair mousse

I've had the new Dyson for a while and honestly it leaves your hair very, very soft and smooth. I don't notice any damage (my hair is also dyed). Quite happy with it! I used to get very dry ends before bc of hot tools.
I am so indecisive with the colours… I bought the pink colour but I am not a big fan of pink, was going to return but I dont like the copper-silver colour either and the navy is out of stock. Do you like the colour that you got? Or prefer the previous pink one?
Girl we have the exact same hair! I definitely want the dyson, but the humidity is such a killer I gotta stick with the straightener for the summer like you said. You really see how the curler attachment must be nice for people with straight hair, sigh. You should do a review of the L’Oréal Steampod! It always gets me the best results at the salon, I’m thinking of buying one for myself.

I have curly hair and the curler attachment works just fine. I also know people with straight hair who have problems keeping the curls to stay. It's not about the curly or straight but how our hair reacts to elements.

I used to work there and I returned stuff all they time that I would find and had bought years ago lol. They will give you store credit but that’s okay you’ll find something else you like there instead.

Have you tried the Shark FlexStyle? I actually like it more for my curly hair and it doesn’t damage my curls! It also brings a diffuser attachment for when I want to leave my hair natural! ❤️ I have a ton of videos using it on my channel! Check it out! ❤️

I have had the Air Wrap for about year, I have the long barrels. I have found if I use the skinniest ones, my curls last all day even in the heat. The ends stay curly. I want the new dryer attachment for smoothing. I check everyday if it is in stock.

I have thick, curly and semi coarse hair, and I just tried the Dyson last night, except I didn’t realize there was a round brush attachment in the box! I was so disappointed with the outcome. Going to try the round brush this time around.
Hi. Do you still use any of these on a regular basis like the Revlon? I just got the Revlon amd I'm a bit scared if hair damage. I plan to use it on low and only once a week. I hear that it’s not necessarily the heat damage with revlon, but the hair-pulling. I have the revlon and noticed so much hair on the brush, so I stopped using it
I bought the Revlon, tried it a few times and ended up pulling and knotting my hair so much I stopped using it. Decided to invest in the Airwrap and it works so much better for me.
I BOUGHT IT FOR LONG HAIR JUST LIKE YOU, AND THE LONG BARRELS WON'T FIT IN THE TRAVEL POUCH THAT I GOT WITH THE AIRWRAP. OTHER THAN THAT ALL IS GOOD. I'M STILL LEARNING HOW TO USE IT.

I have straight hair and purchased this as soon as it was available. Unfortunately I returned it because the curls just wouldn’t stay. Tried different methods, but still got the same results. I really wanted to love and keep it. But the results didn’t justify the price. Especially since I saved up for it.
Same! I haven’t returned it yet but I’m most likely going to. My hair still looked frizzy after both curling and straightening, it takes me way longer to do my hair, and curls don’t last. For me, it’s just not worth $600 :/
its cooler than other hair tools and was designed to not be too hot. always use heat protectant for an extra layer of protection if heat is your concern!
Being a Dyson airwrap owner as well, I don’t think these attachments are worth it lmao. But im gonna get the skinniest 20 mm air wrap barrel attachment when it comes out. Canada hasn’t even received these attachments so gotta wait for it. I would only get it to stop switching the barrel since they do get hot and and it’s annoying to keep switching and the 20mm is my fav. Maybe the 30 mm barrel is something I would get too cause it gives nice bouncier looking curls too. Maybe the pre dryer fly away attachment as well but you said it dries the same as original pre dryer ? I was hoping it would be a more gentle air flow so the hair isn’t blowing all over the place. And thanks for talking about the fly away attachment. I just realized what a difference it is for the Dyson supersonic blowdryer. The supersonic attachment looks like it works way better. Can you play around with the airwrap fly away attachment to see if it actually is effective or just a gimmick cause I would rather save my money, especially if it blow dries the same as the pre dryer. I was hoping it would blow less air, like be a more concentrated nozzle to reduce frizz. The new smoothing brushes don’t look like they work much differently than the original. Could you confirm that in your next video cause I watched all Dyson videos and they did say they removed the bristles in the middle to keep the hair in the brush better for a proper blow out but idk if it makes a difference LOL
I feel that the airwrap was made for fine hair. My hair is thick in consistency and have a lot of hair too. So it’s too heavy for the thin barrel to pick up. If I use the big barrels, the curl does not hold long.

Great video and you always look stunning! However, I have one point of criticism: Did you notice that you were holding the flyaway tool the wrong way? This gave me great results when holding it right. The big round part needs to rest on your hair, and the wide switch on top automatically flips in the right direction when you press it gently on your head. There are several videos here on RUclips where they show it the right way Dyson released a short video three months ago introducing the new attachments and at the very end they also show how to properly use the flyaway attachment

You should shown uncut version. Everytime you blow dry, there are parts the video flicks (dont know what happened in between 😶its either your used a hair straightener or u honestly used this dyson hairwrap to do so)
Dyson doesnt make it last whatsoever. I have my hair permed and even that section the curls dropped after 2 hrs. And I did do all the steps with lenthy cool shots at the end every time etc

Always start on a low setting because high heat real fast can damage your hair. Start the heat low and work up if needed.

I have the original dyson airwrap and I regret it….it is doesn’t work well enough to justify the cost on very textured African American hair…😔

However, I have one point of criticism:
Did you notice that you were holding the flyaway tool the wrong way? This gave me great results when holding it right. The big round part needs to rest on your hair, and the wide switch on top automatically flips in the right direction when you press it gently on your head. There are several videos here on RUclips where they show it the right way
Dyson released a short video three months ago introducing the new attachments and at the very end they also show how to properly use the flyaway attachment

I’m so upset! My Dyson died after 5 years, I can only buy a new one, a cvs brand travel dryer has lasted me longer, although I Don’t use it anymore.

You should shown uncut version. Everytime you blow dry, there are parts the video flicks (dont know what happened in between 😶its either your used a hair straightener or u honestly used this dyson hairwrap to do so)
I only used the Dyson Airwrap to do all my hair.
I bought this new dyson airwrap and my hair were so frizzy and nasty I returned it!!!

Dyson doesnt make it last whatsoever. I have my hair permed and even that section the curls dropped after 2 hrs. And I did do all the steps with lenthy cool shots at the end every time etc
I didnt buy the Dyson for one reason only.....the loud sound! 20 mins of this would drive me crazy!!
