She knows the primary drive of these music shows is the audience at home, the people who see her through the lens of the camera, and so she, through a combination of instinct and training, is always eyes towards that lense when she knows it is on her, even if she's not in the center position. That, though, is not the truly remarkable part of this skill. The real story is that she also knows when the lens isn't on her, and in those moments, she's eyes on the crowd, the fans who waited in lines for possibly hours just so they could cheer these young women on through their performances. That she doesn't just look at the camera shows she knows the choreography between her and the cameraman as much as she knows the choreography between her and her members, and she shows she appreciates the fans by giving directly to them when that dance of performer and lens allow her to. That's top tier. I don't overuse that term. I don't think she stands alone in that tier, but there are established groups who do not have members that can play to the camera and crowd so seamlessly. I am amazed.
