this is wrong way to look at the game. what you aiming for is chaos statue level 20 as this is gonna unlock content like charm upgrade slots/lacrimas and so on. But to answer the question always aim to do highest level maps on chaos statue that you can. so in your case would be Tier 10 Maps at highest possible level. thats how you gonna level up.
This is a good build, i tried to do minion build, and absolute hammer but i felt that minion build doesnt do mapping efficiently, and i couldnt maximize damage for absolute hammer. I could do better in earth blow tho the single target dmg is lesser than minion. I would try your build to see if it works better than mine

can you do a levelling for last levels? I'm 95 and run out of cursed prisons...any advice on grinding the last 5 levels?
