  • Hello lovelies, today I am sharing all of Sharon Tate's beauty products that were sold at Julien's Auctions in 2018. I went through the entire list of beauty products from her estate and was able to find replicas of almost all of them on eBay. The only products that I bought new were the Chanel No 5, Jicky Perfume and Erno Lazlo face soap because I wanted to have them to try for myself. I was able to track down her face steamer, both lipsticks, and her favorite Jovan Mink & Pearls bath oil beads. I also got this Sharon Tate book from Amazon written by her sister Debra Tate. I am anxiously awaiting Quentin Tarantino's Charles Manson movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood featuring Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate. Below is a list of all the items from the auction and with the winning bid.

    Thankyou so much for sharing. Im a collector of Sharon as well. I wanted to share that Sharon was scent sensitive and only wore perfume when out. She loved using the brown Max Factor eyeliner on her lip with vaseline. She often did her own makeup for photo shoots. She invented the banana look. The dark brown banana shape in the crease. She loved going barefoot or she wore real ballet slippers. She had them in delicate ballet pink most often but also black. She spray painted a pair red for a dress. She didn't like rings. She loved tiny glass beads and earrings. She loved to smoke cigarettes and hid it from Roman. They met in 67. And despite having an iud in place got pregnant in November of 68. She wanted a natural birth. She was reading books on lamaze. She enrolled Roman in a birthing class that sadly started the day of her funeral. He was due home that Monday and they were so excited to see each other again. She had the nursery painted the morning before the murders the windows were open it was a heatwave and the paint odor was strong. She lived in a beautiful french country ranch her love house she called it. She had linens for the nursey picked out little yellow birds a print. Baby clothes tucked away in her armore and a bassinet wrapped in plastic sat on top of her dresser patiently waiting. Her mama the week before hand delivered a wooden rocking chair that Doris rocked all 3 of her babies in. It sat in the room Sharon and Jay lost their lives in. She was a beautiful woman but her heart was far more beautiful.

    Being born in 1964, you might think that being only 5 years old at the time, I wouldn't remember much about Sharon Tate. However, my sister was 16 years older than me and was a beautiful blonde who resembled Ms. Tate. She was also married and gave birth to my niece in August 1969, so the similarities were talked about quite a bit. I'm very glad you gave her a really positive short film focus where her life is celebrated, not her death. Not to be judgmental, but even the mention of the way she died could have been forgone. All in all, it was a very respectful and fun video that remembered 2 lives cut short and unfulfilled. I'm sure she is happy she is still inspiring beauty and fashion today.

    This is just wonderful! Thank you so much! Many times when people think of Sharon they think of the horrible way in which she died, but we really should remember how great of an actress she was and how kind and beautiful she was! She was one of the most naturally stunning women of all time and that is one of many things we should remember her for. She really inspired many young girls to be more natural! Natural beauty is something that society lacks today and Sharon definitely had it! Thx again for sharing this with us 💕 and btw you’re very beautiful ♥️

By the way, the woman on the sauna ad is not Sharon but I can see the resemblance. Great video, and brought back memories. I was the youngest of three girls, born in 1960, so older sisters caught me into fashion and makeup at a younger age. Sharon Tate was stunning, and considered a bit "wild" in her personal life...the Manson murders were horrific. Her hubby Roman Polaski, had/has a predilection for underage girls - he did marry Sharon, though.
    Others you could look at copying.....Marisa Berenson, Karen Graham, Cristina Ferrare, Cheryl Tiegs. They were every where!
    Being dark haired, my style muse in high school was Linda Ronstadt - she was stunning! big brown eyes, flower in her hair, big hoop earrings, and a stack of silver bracelets up her arm. Stevie Nicks would be fun to do - her late 60's early 70's looks! Even her 80's "Gypsy" look would be fun.
    Go for some of the dark haired models, please! Marisa and Karen, even Cristina....Thanks!!!

      I just bought the same one that Laura has in this video, do you think it would be safe to use? It is used and it works. I’m just scared of the asbestos that heated products used to have.

      Look them up on Walmart.com. I only buy them if they’re shipped and sold by Walmart. I tested shalimar in Nordstrom before I bought it. Saved myself $60. Walmart buys the department store overstock and does rollbacks on anything that doesn’t sell.

    I think my Mom used to buy that Silk and Pearls, I seem to remember in my distant memory of using it, although, I can't even remember what it smells like since I think my Mom bought it when I was in grade school and wasn't allowed to use it but, I seem to remember it wasn't anything disgusting smelling. Wish they would make it again, I'd like to use it. Sometimes, I don't want to use perfume or cologne and just want to bath in scented oil, and that way, I smell like the bath oil instead.

    Sharon Tate was still more or less a starlet in the late 60s. She was largely unknown. I don't have ideas one way or another where her career would have gone. I think maybe she would have devoted much of her time to raising her son and any other children, and would have collaborated with her husband Roman Polanski in various projects.
    I am absolutely surprised about the prices for vintage cosmetics. I remember when we used those things. Yardley was great. I always liked their lavender (flower) cologne.
    You did a great job presenting Sharon Tate. It is great to see a show about her and her LIFE. Thank you!

    • @lisellesloan3191
      @lisellesloan3191 4 года назад

      And just what makes you some kind of authority on Sharon Tate, Ms. Morris? You are using the sexist term, "starlet," for one thing, which Sharon justifiably despised. She was indeed known worldwide and to this day, plus, she is a beauty and style icon, very ahead of her time. No, she was not a great actress, as she herself would have been the first to admit. Likely, she would have become a humanitarian and mother of several children, according to her sister. She was also one of the nicest people of all time, according to literally everyone who met her--a very rare thing, to be sure, especially in Hollywood. You could still wear her outfits today and be very on-trend. No, you "don't have any ideas..where her career would have gone." Actually, Sharon would have probably divorced Roman, according to her close friends, Catholic or no, because he would not stop with his many affairs. Debra was her good friend, yes, but as a sixteen-year-old, she was not her sister's closest confidante, as where her actress friends who were her same age.

    Sharon was absolutely exquisite and apparently a very kind person. I refuse to remember her as anything but. Thankyou for sharing this. Many think that Sharon's character Jennifer North in Valley of the dolls was based on Monroe. It was actually based on the beautiful talented Carole Landis who tragically committed suicide over a broken heart at a young age.

My mom still has some Yardley products I think the packaging was so “pop-artish” adorable, not sure about some other products my mom has tucked away I never tried to look for them they’re from Mary Quant or Quaint not sure but that whole London thing was huge in the 60’s & 70’s from what she tells me .
