The steps aren't as slippery as you may think. If you notice Oji's trying to grip with the inside of his leg. He's still a bit short to get his foot up. Judging by the other potats who have climbed, it's not slippery as it looks.

I think he was just sleepy so he didn't even feel the need to go up cause the stairs had a comfortable corner for him to settle in. Definitely didn't seem scared.
It's always tough at first. Practice makes perfect! He will eventually catch on. Once he gains a bit more confidence, he'll go up with no problem. Going down is another story. 😬
