I never knew these existed! Can't wait to try them! I find that stringing the new string through the top of the soundboard first, and then tying the knot (or putting on the button) is easier than going from the bottom to the top!
I bought them about a year ago and have used 3 or 4 on two different harps so far. Since you usually don’t restring the whole harp at once, it takes a while to use a whole package. So you can start with buying one package and order another when there are only a few buttons left. This way the cost stretches over a long time. And as you said, they are reusable, once you have one for every string, that’s it. I really like them as well because they make changing a string much easier. The only thing I do differently is that I usually pull the string through the whole from the top of the soundboard and pull down it to me before I use the button. Because in some places it’s quite difficult to see and find the sting whole when coming through the sound whole of the sound box.
Glad it was useful! Yes, as someone who's pretty experienced with tying the knots I wasn't really sure it'd be worth it but I'm definitely a convert just for the extra ease and the fact that they're reusable!
I've been eyeing these for a while now. Time to buy, I think! Thanks for the review!
All my harps are strung with them. Such a game changer!

Thanks Ailie! I've been thinking of getting them as well but was debating if they really made a difference. Looks like it'll make life a lot easier.

Can you use them on pedal harps as well?
yes, I believe so - can't see any reason why not!
I have them on my pedal harp, though down around the 4th or 5th octave, they are not big enough for the wider gauge of the strings.
All my gut strings are strung with them - best thing since sliced bread!!
