oh shit, poor tks memer x.x lag is awful to begin with, and it's so unfortunate that they were banned, but based on how it screws with things, and how bad theirs was... It was appropriate but also absolutely awful. Kudos to them for racing and for doing a great job. I hope to see them back soon
Idk if TKS has a windows laptop, but when I got a internet service with a Wi-Fi mesh router my Wii’s wifi connection was terrible, but once I connected it to my laptop’s mobile hotspot (still connected to the router but upstairs close to my Wii) set to 2.4 ghz only I have a great connection now.

I mained Booster seat and my mii as a kid and reached max VC on wii online using only motion controls, this is due to the fact my parents where doctors so they’d just leave me infront of the wii playing mario kart and eventually it all added up over time and I got to it.

i think it's not a matter of the server in this case, but the fact that TKS' lag was SO BAD that other players could not accurately account for their location and use their items accordingly. troy would have been in the finals of the first KO if he had been able to see TKS' actual position and use his mushroom to take the shortcut.

I tend to agree but a 24-player tournament like this is inevitably going to take long enough that it’s hard to blame people for things changing in their connections. In these videos, when Troy makes it to the finals, it ends up being about 15 or 20 minutes worth of video - and that’s *after* he’s edited it down to cut out all of the time in between races and waiting for things to load and whatnot, so even just one single event takes a good while
Every vod I see there seems to be like 5-6 players that start foaming at the mouth the moment they see Troy, even if it means opening themselves up to getting counterhit even harder by the racer behind. Looks super frustrating to play against lmao. Also that dry bowser offroader kinda just hit troy every single time they interacted one gp, though none of them looked intentional
