As much as it heart breaking, you gotta give a round of applause to Jen and Colin's acting in this scene. So much emotion. I absolutely love this scene, even though it is really sad. Love the music too, gives a lot to the scene.

He can look back and see that Rumple was in the right that day, not himself.
The writing on this show breaks my heart and heals it. When Emma says that being the Dark One made her better by taking down her walls, it gave me pause. Despite her protestations, she's more divided from those she loves than she has been since before coming to Storybrook. Am I the only one who finds Killian's lines about loving Emma's walls and loving that he got to break them down almost unbearablely lovely? The idea that he delighted in the slow process of helping her belive in herself and in the sincerity of his affections just gets me every time.
After seeing the rest of the season, I can't help but think about why Emma became the Dark One and how certain things are clearer now that I've seen all of the episodes.
I dont know why, but I have a feeling that something happened in Camelot and Emma is pretending to be the dark one. she told Hook to "trust her" and idk but, the way she said it, made it sound like she was trying to tell him that she hadnt gone dark.
I have absolutely no words D: The only thing that gives me hope is that when Hook said: "I guess I'm either steering home or swimming home. Tell me which.".... she didn't hurt him. She let him go. She still has love in her heart. I have faith that she will still be saved. But for now, a pillow, ice cream, and tissues please :'(

Yes, he LOVED Emma - but she's gone [for] now. BTW I loved Hook's reflection on his past mistakes and how his choice made Rumple going dark... that's someone who has reached a higher level of self consciousness... Bravo!

That's partly because the writers kept screwing up, but in the process they practically produced a deconstruction of the idea of a hero/heroine in love with a villain, showing how it's inevitably going to go wrong. The inner evil of the Dark One makes a viable relationship a...doubtful concept. Hook may know that from centuries of tracking Rumple and observing his activities.
I think that's what was missing in Milla's story, which for me is a character that they wanted to put as a poor thing but it was very wrong in that story. I loved Hook finally admitting he wasn't right in that story, but when they had the chance to do the same with Milla, they again blamed her unhappiness on Rumble, who has his share of the blame, but it wasn't the single wrong of the story.
Not when you watch the underworld episode where Emma, rumple, and Milah rescue hook from hades. Milah didn’t go looking for Hook she let Emma take over and stayed look out with rumple. And Milah and rumple had a closure conversation about belle, hook, and bealfire. She made it clear she cares about Hook but that her unfinished business is that she abandoned bealfire. And she couldn’t rectify that guilt cause bealfire had already moved on. So she thought reuniting hook and Emma in a selfless way would help her move on so she could see bealfire. She said her relationship with hook was entirely selfish and leaving bealfire behind because she grew to hate rumple was beyond selfish.

I don't think of it as a break up but he staying true about the subject of being dark. the sad part they have hinted about being in love with a dark one and being in love before being dark and how love can be a strength of both good and bad. in all the recent interviews they say it is there rough patch and he isn't giving up on Emma. though he won't help her darkness remember him and rumple went yrs trying to kill and hurt each other because of their actions. I'm sure like he knows being dark is easy trying to do right is a whole other matter. though I think we're going to see Emma darkness was the result of many actions some knowing and unknowing.
He didn't want to scare her or make her feel like she had to say it back before she was ready. Then when she said it, she was sucked away into the darkness before he could say it back...

Short question. Am I alone with the opinion, that the music is sometimes to strong/much? Especially at a moment like this, emotional, just the two of them. In my opinion I would found it better, if the music went off, at least when he told her "I loved you".
