I’ve been to the Lost Kitchen in the before days (before you had a lottery to get in). The food was good but I left hungry, or maybe hangry is more like it. I had a delicious duck leg with a tiny swoosh of black eyed pea puree. The puree was yummy but there should have been more than a swoosh! It’s black eyed peas, they’re almost free☹️ maybe we could be a little more generous with them. I also have friends who have worked for Erin French and had shoes thrown at them in the kitchen. I’ll save my money and dine at some of the less showy but more delicious places in the area like Chase’s Daily, Dos Gatos and 18 Central. All of which you do not need to mortgage your home or plan a year ahead to visit. Thank you for the awesome videos WOL family. Love you guys❤
That seems like very little food for the $250 per person price. How could you justify the expense for 7 people at $1750. For a tiny scallop? A little piece of halibut? A mini donut? Some chips? A raw oyster? Three spoonfuls of soup? Point of fact is, this IS NOT a Michelin starred establishment and Erin French is not actually a chef. I don’t get the hoopla over this place at all. Frankly much of the food on your channel and blog looks better to me. And it doesn’t need a bunch of flowers festooning it either. It’s just good food. BTW $1750 is my monthly mortgage payment. For an entire three bedroom house. Not an evening meal.
Sounds like gimmicky place ... surprised they don't make you walk THROUGH the gift store to get into the restaurant... but I guess they do that with the "bottles of wine" store... and.. after eating this $200 meal.. you needed to stop by a burger joint to fill up and get full!
Such a neat experience and thanks much for sharing. Not only a treat for the father, but for the whole family. It reminds me of a childhood experience while growing up in Germany, when my family visited a friend of my father to a water mill in Germany. So idyllic. Glad you had friendly table neighbors, too.
I have found it incredibly frustrating that the show only covers four courses and only accidentally mentions that they serve more than that. I get that time constraints prevent filming everything, but I find it very odd.
I have of course never been. But another restaurant that needs to be mentioned is Vivian Howard restaurant in Kingston North Carolina that unfortunately has closed ❤

Thank you for giving us this experience. I made so many of your recipes and have more to go. Thank you all for those experiences too.❤
Thank you so much :)
Thanks for showing that side of it! I LOVE watching Erin's show. I've seen her as a guest on Ina Garten's show as well.
We're so glad you enjoyed it!
Missing the Lost Kitchen new episodes so this is perfect!
I felt like I was there too😊 But I hope to be there one day😊

Who hurt you?😂 but agree. Erin sells her story as much as her food
So I'm not the only one who was thinking this hehe
It's the ambiance.
Gimmicky restaurant at best. Cute but lacking in depth. Menu is basic. Surprised the didn't do Woopie pies for dessert. LoL
It is lovely but beyond my budget as well. I’ll get her cookbook out of the library and will be happy with that!
why does this remind me of "The Menu?"

Oh what a delight! So thrilled you got to enjoy it. Love your cook book too.
Thank you for sharing this with us.

Yes! Thank you so much, Mark :)
Amazing experience. Thank you for sharing this moment with us. It was so nice seeing your family enjoying a memorable time together.
Thank you, Helen!!

What an amazing experience. I am so envious. Erin is coming here in November, to talk and sign her new book, I do have a ticket for that!
Lucky you! That will be so fun!
you need a TICKET to buy her book at a signing? Pretentious much??!??
Love this!

Why would that need to be mentioned?
