It was never meant to be the ending though. They had every intention in coming back the next year for season 7. The happy ending and short season for 6 was done for logistical reasons as it was shot back to back with the movie.

Well he was always sort of selfish. The very first storyline he tries to mary his best friend off to Lucy simply because of her growing dependence on him and the possible implications of that. We were not really supposed to believe in the park hero thing. The park residents never had all the info. But we did.
As far as I am concerned, this is where the show should have ended. Like Ricky said, "I don't know how life can get better than this". At the beginning of season 7, Cory and Trevor left the show, never to return again. That was where the show completely fell apart. Granted there was another appearance by Conky, but that was likely a fan request. I sometimes think that fandom goes a little too far sometimes. The fans love these characters so much that, even though the actor wants to quit the role and move onto something else, they are pressured into returning again and, as a friend used to say "arm-twisted" into returning to the role, even though they don't want to do it anymore.
Was this the fist time the boys didn't end up in jail at the end? Maybe even the only time they didn't end up in jail at the end then getting out in the first ep of the next season..

OP your math is terrible. At $12 a g, it would be $336 for an oz ($12 x 28g). There are 16 oz per lb...meaning it would cost roughly $5400 per pound ($336 x 16oz). If you can get a lb for $700...take it 😂
