I am practising the 3/4 face! I have followed the lesson and done 3 sketches in one day...I don't care for them (sorry sketched ladies that will never come alive!) But if I carry on practising a beauty will materialise !Thank you!
Am I finding my style...yes I am ..on this kind of drawing a prefer few lashes to the side of the eyes!Thank you for helping me find myself! You are 100% awesome!
Hi Karen. You are so so awesome!!!. I really like the way you teach and explain every part of drawing. I've bought your book and can't wait to get started. I've also been following fab face challenge. Thanks for all?
Hi Vilma!!! I'm so happy to hear that you're following the challenge, it is SO MUCH FUN!! And I feel like those that have completed it so far have come so very far in terms of skills and growth! I'd love it if you haven't already joined us in the FB group that you do if you like! facebook.com/groups/awesomeartschool - we'd love to have you!
I love the simplicity of graphite and charcoal. Beautiful sketch, Karen. Thanks for the review, I like the erasers a lot, I'm a slop and I smudge all my highlights, these look cool to get that under control in tiny spots. Also, wishing you a super summer holidays with your boys and hubby. Have fun!!
Thanks so much Karine!!! yes, I can't believe how well those little erasers work! I had no expectations of them and they are kinda awesome! Leave for vacation tomorrow, so appreciate the well wishes!! Talk soon!
I have only 3 drawing pencils - 2B, 3H, and 4H, plus a kneadable eraser. The Hs for drawing, and the B for shading. Like to keep it simple. I don't like the darker values because I tend to erase a lot, and I don't like to erase smudging.
Love this. I’m trying to find long version to try. I’ll keep looking but just found this one again but not sure how to catalog it for it to come up. Wish I lived close to my kids as they could help me with finding it. Visiting Clayton on oct 18 weekend. Going to get my granddaughter. (21 years old) onto some of your videos especially the stabilo and elegant writer pens drawings. I bought her the elegant writer pens.
This is how you find it Elizabeth! Step 1: Log into your account at Awesomeartschool.com . Step 2: Click on My Classes Step 3: Click on Official New Monthly Lessons for Fun Fab Drawing Club Step 4: Click on June 2019 lesson on Value Scale. I hope that helps!! Never hesitate to ask me these things Elizabeth, I'm always happy to help you!
Hey there Desiree!! Yes I LOVE my mechanical pencil SO MUCH but I have to swap it out during those realistic sessions, bummer! I know! But then we can always switch back later, right?! 😂Happy drawing!!!
Arteza did not send you the full graphite value pencil group. 9B is VERY black and smooooooth and siiiillky😍😍! From 6B you should have a 7B, 8B and 9B. Also, you'd probably like a kneaded eraser to get those tiny itsy-bitsy highlights. "F" is for fine. You may want to try a woodless value pencil set. Those are soooo luscious and lots of fun!
Someone has already mentioned the whole killing thing so I won't😂🗡🎨 Having just finished the first lesson for value scale, this is a super addition (not sure if my set includes a black, will have a little lookey). Those erasers look really neat, did check link so now on my list! You'll be well into your holidays now so sending RESTFUL VIBES.... That's R.E.S.T ~ look it up!💤💤 Tyfs as always ️🍎👋🐾🐾
What is this mysterious "rest" that you speak of?! This is a foreign word for me!!?!? Heading off on my official vacation tomorrow - 15 hours of driving in 2 days...I hope I survive that alone! Maybe then I can "rest"...if I can figure out what the heck you are even talking about!!!! 😂
Hi karen y have zie this video and y have by some pensels white B H etc to try dish Thanks for showing dish y have not fond the reazer pencel here in groningen
Hi Roelie! I'm not quite sure what you're saying. It may be easier to type your question into Google Translate and then paste the English version here?
Where on Earth did you get that log you are blending with. You do knowvwhen they say blending stump they don't mean a actual tree, right, cuz damn! Hmmm are they cheaper than firewood I wonder? Your skills with the old pencil and paper have really hit impressive levels. I think it's time you bust outta the norn and start using some charcoal, since you seem to like black and white, which is nice. Or try sepia toned charcoal. You know, those pencils Jerry's has that have oil in them so they aren't dusty. I think you would be amazing with them. You're their ambassador, start trying 💩 out. Hahaha Have you tried the Marabu art crayons? They are water soluble and pigmented out the wazoo, the cherry red one is anyways. How about inktense blocks? Omg! I love those things hahaha ok, I better stop talking about art supplies before I hurt myself or just the opposite. Wink wink hahahaha ok I'm going. You're the best. Love Hugs and all that 🐂💩 🤗
Her eyes!!! Beautiful~
Thank you, Coreen!

What value of pencil is best to shade with?
A soft one, 6B is my go to!
