Itararé - Song of the brazilian 1930 revolution

- The government of the brazilian old republic was centered on the interests of the elites of Minas Geraes and São Paulo, and as such as the uprisings began in 1930 they just allowed the south to fall and planned to decisively defeat the revolutionaries as they tried to cross into São Paulo. The invasion of São Paulo began through one of it's southernmost cities, Itararé, were the federal army was positioned to counter it's invasion, and it was about to be the largest battle in any brazilian civil war, however, with the north of the country having completely crumbled a group of officers had the "brilliant" idea to seize the capital to take power by themselves and then defeat the rebels, and as the army forces entrenched on Itararé heard about the deposition of the oligarch Washington Luís from presidency, they simple surrendered allowing the whole of Sâo Paulo to fall.
The civil war would last a bit more, as the junta in Rio tried to fight the revolutionaries, but their troops would disband and join the rebels on every attempt on the combat, and thus they finally surrendered after Rio de Janeiro fell into chaos as the civilians began to attack the government buildings on november 3.
