Lisa hold so much achievements in her name as a soloist. Holds many Guiness world records, fists kpop solo act to have 1B plaque on Spotify with her solo song 'Money' ..Literally a kpop Queen who proved it through all her achievements. A 14 year old girl coming from Thailand alone and she was the only one selected from thousands of contestants there, and becoming successful as an artist. She still holds many records in her name. A foreign idol dominating , so proud her❤ She an Ace 💅🏻
And also please react to her dance performances, her collaboration songs, her TikTok edits, her solo performance from very first concerts, Lisa as a mentor, youth with you performances, lilifilm etc. Thank you🙏 love your reactions.
First off, everyone's opinion is important and they have a right to it. That being said, listening for over 30 minutes about what Blackpink doesn't do right is wearing thin. 95 million RUclips fans, 332 million on almost 2 million tickets sold on a world tour, most successful female kpop group of all time, to many records broken to name. But again it's over 30 minutes of how much you don't like Shut Down which is your opinion. No problem with that. But who are you tell the group doing in better than anyone else that they aren't doing it right. Their solo songs are crushing every other female group and every male group but one. Again, hate or love whatever you want but I'm so over people having an opinion about how the sausage are made. Especially Therese, I've listened in 3 videos to Rosé is nasally, they change the music and make Jisoo sound weak to cover others weak vocals, and YGfest...... Why not so all the way and start every sentence with, "I'm not trying to be smart but".
I understand your points, no intentions of undermining their success and I think that obviously we can see that they are the biggest girl group in the world for a reason. This particular video I will admit we were harsher on these songs than most others, but hopefully you understand it's all just our personal opinions just as you are entitled to yours. I think if you watch the other uploads from today you will understand we are not hating on the girls at all, just trying to have an honest discussion about our personal experiences with these songs.
And just to touch on the whole Teddy/production talk, I can see how it can be a tired conversation but it is mostly unserious and just fun "what if" speculation, we know that Teddy, 24, R Tee, & the rest of their team are very talented producers and it's just something that we tend to talk a lot about with every group we cover, not just BP, especially when there are repeated/notable producers involved.

@@AudioAddictionmedia not stressing the complaining about Shut Down, like I said opinions belong to each person. My issue was 30 minutes of kicking at a 3 minute song.
As far as Teddy and the producers, it gets really old hearing from all sides about it. Never understood complaining about success to such a degree. For example , I really am starting to like XG but not sure they will have truly great success because every song feels like it belongs from 1992-2003. It was my favorite time for music but not sure you can capture that side of an audience in that box.
I guess my true complaints about BP are with lack of new material and treatment of the girls.I remember seeing a video on Rosé where she said one of her solos had been recorded 2-3 years before release.
Beyond that, thanks for the content. I've liked all the other videos, just found it odd to beat up on BP when most of the audience were Blinks, including you.
BLACKPINK game OST songs...
READY FOR LOVE was shown being recorded in the Netflix docu BP:LUTS when they were recording the album, so I don't think it was always INTENDED specifically FOR the PUBG collab, but was the song they gave them. There were changes to the song from the earlier recordings as discussed. Fans had been waiting for it since the documentary. I thought it wasn't a bad song, but by the time it was released it sounded kinda outdated and imo more like something that would've worked better if they had done it as a b-side for digital single AS IF ITS YOUR LAST BACK way back in May 2017 (my 1st comeback as a BLINK who'd discovered their music in early 2017). It felt like their sound had evolved beyond RFL style by the time we finally got it.
RFL was not as disappointing as the BP THE GAME OST song THE GIRLS which WAS a song that wasn't obviously wasn't considered good enough for BORN PINK and was just dumped there to get rid of it. I'm thankful Ryan Tedder was whining over not getting any mediocre songs onto that 8 song release (he apparently had 3 songs in the running according to his video at the time) because THE GIRLS sounds like what happens when you feed BLACKPINK songs into chatgpt or music AI software and tell the digital monkeys banging on typewriters to spit out a generic BP song. The thing that saves that song is Lisa's rap -- obviously another set of bars from Danny Chung (the bane of Lisa antis existence because he writes some of her best raps and they wish those raps would go to their fave BP rapper -- one of the worst things in the fandom is die-hard fans of Jennie or Lisa who trash the other for any moments potentially 'outshining their fave'). Ryan Tedder later redeemed himself with Lisa solo Rockstar, which is good for those into Lisa flex songs (Lisa is my Kpop ult bias but Money took a while to grow on me, I preferred the old school YG sound and let's try to give her a whole minialbum in one song vibe of LALISA, with the Thai culture themed bridge being the highlight). For another example of genetic chatgpt-ization Kpop see Everglow long overdue but disappointing comeback Slay. Not a bad song but derivative. LALISA and Rosé GONE were my 2 favorite songs of that year until they eventually were overtaken more recently by my love for PURPLE KISS predebut R&B release CAN WE TALK AGAIN.
F. the Teddy as Michael Bay of Kpop nonsense. Hit-making producer Teddy may be environmentally friendly with his stylistic recycling over his many years, but the lame childish (and incapable of understanding the portrayal of real human emotions) action movie BRAWAWSSSHH lewd dude Bay is fairly incompetent and hackish and makes movies for immature tween boys. The only thing I can say to praise Bay is at least he isn't as bad as Uwe Boll who infamously exploited German tax loopholes to make awful films without losing investors' money.
SHUT DOWN and PINK VENOM are great and still stand up, so you're disappointing me. Even that overly critical Teddy-averse DJ Jino guy really liked Shut Down after he really complained about Pink Venom particularly hating the Ratatata ending in a certain older Jamaican musical style. He really seems to dislike the back and forth with the vocal line's existence in their music, strongly favoring their rap side. The music videos for PV and SD were great, but HYLT is still their best mv. I really can't see how a big enough fan to own 2 lightsticks wouldn't like PV and SD. THE HAPPIEST GIRL was my favorite off Born Pink (and YOU NEVER KNOW was my favorite off THE ALBUM despite not being a big ballad guy in Kpop typically), but was edged out of #1 for 2022 by PURPLE KISS equally b-side CURSOR 빈틈 when all-rounder Chaein composing bsides was killing it with upbeat OH MY GOSH 날좀봐 and chill JOAH 좋아 also in my annual top 10 all being from the same mini album memeM.
I'm curious how the next BP group release will evetually be. I've spent the past couple years spending more time listening to new music by genre diverse vocal queens PURPLE KISS and KISS OF LIFE and the increasingly infrequent releases of summer queens FROMIS_9 who just dropped SUPERSONIC with its great chorus (their UNLOCK MY WORLD was imo the best full album of 2023 with songs like MENOW, ATTITUDE, club banger WHAT I WANT and great duet and subunit songs, then they released a phenomenal OST song bop LOVE ME BACK known for its bass guitar line. RV had some great b-sides like Underwater. PURPLE KISS Cabin Fever was probably the best mini album of 2023 with songs like T4KE, SWEET JUICE, AUTOPILOT and yeah the under 90sec Intro trk SAVE ME). BILLLIE is another musically diverse discography group that takes chances, check out the bsides cowritten by minGtion if you like jazzy Kpop.
woah thanks for the super in depth comment! Hopefully you don't take my (Alex/guy with 2 light sticks lol) criticisms too harshly of PV and SD, I do enjoy both songs they just don't hit the same high as some of my personal favorites (HYLT, D4, Lovesick Girls). I actually wish that we had time in this series to show the live versions of those songs because after going to the Born Pink tour those songs moved up on my tier list significantly with the addition of the live band, but we had to comment on the songs as is in these videos. And I can totally understand people's disappointment in The Girls but I guess for my personal taste that was my preferred track over RFL.
Also, I love Purple Kiss and Cursor is a BEAUTIFUL ballad.

It is an interesting phenomenon that kpop fans always have the same cliche comments about everything Blackpink related. They've been repeated so many times that for kpop fans it became a reality.
Don't get me wrong, I'm here again because I like your fresh takes, I learned a lot and can't wait to discover more thanks to you.
I'd call myself non-kpop Blink because I love Blackpink but I'm not really into other kpop groups. As an outsider I don't get that lore about "evil YG keeps the girls in dungeons and won't let them shine". It's odd to suggest that the key figures in the most popular girl group of the moment have no say in the products released under their name. It's like saying LeBron James could win the title again but his coach is holding him back.
In reality the girls hold all the power and basically own YG Entertainment right now. The company is happy to have these 4 super ladies on board and all 4 are still willing to work together from time to time. If only one of them say 'bye' then investors are out and YGE is no more. They have the best people on a mission to prepare even greater world tour for next year and no doubt it will be because the girls would not accept anything lesser than Born Pink Tour.
They are set for life with their individual projects and they wouldn't work as Blackpink if they didn't fully trust in YGE, Teddy with The Black Label producers and The Band Six and of course Blinks from around the world.
I respect all the suggestions from kpop fans and I'm sure they would help Blackpink to win all kpop charts and awards.
But we should also respect the path that Blackpink has taken to keep calm and rule the world.
