Thank you for all of your videos, and your tips, tricks, and entertainment involving lawn care and landscaping. I’ve been doing lawn care with my dad since I was 15, and now we’re groundskeepers together at a historic national memorial. Now I’m trying to start my own business to teach my kids in the future, and teach them how to work and responsibility. I’ve learned a lot of life lessons through hard work, lawn care, and definitely a lot of what not to do by watching my dad lol
Hey Stan, I like you analogy about moving leaves like you where plowing snow. Never really thought about it, working solo, but it's a good way to explain it to someone.
Nice job Stan. Hell yeah let’s check out what the other company does and what they are using, it would be cool to see another way of doing things . Keep up the good work and happy new year to all.
It was great to see that you picked up the mice and dropped it on a safe spot. Also the mice really enjoyed the scratches, you could see it on it's tale. It says alot about you! Would love to see how the other company does there leaf clean ups! Keep up the good work and stay safe 🙏🏻
Noticed the slope your mower was on near the end, that mower with the moving seat letting you stay level while cutting would have been a great tool to have there. You showed it in vid a little while ago doing a special on tools. Great job on this property of all homes with equipment at hand. Keep these videos coming please. Viewing from central NC.
That swivel seat mower is by Cub cadet. I’m not 💯 sure that’s a good thing though. I wonder if it could make an unskilled operator a little to comfortable on steeper slopes
Stan on the front of the standup blower you could fab up a simple bracket that holds suitcase weights used on tractors. Easy on / off when you need the extra weight.
Old equipment...new equipment...but you got all good stuff and that makes a difference! Great video Stan. All the best to you and the guys for this year!
I think an easy way to put it is to always work forwards Stan. Never put things back where you already cleared. Good video. Where I live there are people who will put the leaves in the woods and there are others who will take the leaves from the woods. Leaving too much leaf litter increases the risk and the severity of a forest fire.
Stan I Love the videos, I just want to thank you for inspiring me to get back into the landscaping, snow and ice control industries. I sold my Landscaping Business 18 years ago and moved to Florida. 6 months ago I moved back to Wisconsin to help my mother and now I will be back in the Landscaping game starting 2022. Thanks for the amazing content!!!
Wow that is one huge boulder in the center of that front yard. It looks like it dropped from the sky. It is comforting to watch this now since there is snow on the ground.☺🙏 PS I was waiting for that mouse to run up inside of the leg of your pants. 😂
I truly enjoyed watching this video. I am considering doing this type of Fall and Spring cleanup, but need some more equipment. Thanks for all the advice. God bless y’all brother!
We always blow out the beds, suck them up with the mower and then drop them by the truck to be sucked up. If there are woods close by, that's where they go. We never try to mulch leaves, takes to long. Great video.
Have you ever thought of using a leaf loader? Blow the front yards to the street curb, pull up with the leaf loader put into the big orange trailer. You would have to put a canopy to keep the leaves in the trailer.
We have that exact hurricane and man does it make our jobs quicker and easier. With the right guy on it you can do the same amount as 6 guys with back packs. Just FYI Stan, on the left facing flap, pull out the pin on the front side! I’m not sure why they engineered it like that but if you take that pin out that flap will close completely and you won’t blow leaf’s that way unintentionally. Makes for a cleaner and easier time. Your teams are doing great work out there!
Fall cleanup came and I missed mowing , now snow is here and I miss fall cleanup lol pretty soon we’ll be back to mowing and miss sitting in the heat of a plow truck lol !
Fall clean ups are not difficult if the person doing them has the proper equipment. I am personally not a huge fan of doing fall clean ups but they are money makers! Keep up the great work! Have an aweseome night!
Fall cleanups are only really a pain when it’s windy out , can’t clean the stuff up fast enough , this season I bagged all mine wkth a zero turn and got lucky to have some pretty nice days
I am shocked you don't have your dump trailer set up for material or Debris collection. Those leaves 🍃 would be awesome compost with a simple rototiller in 6 months.
I never liked those baggers that rely on the wind from the cutting blades to move leaves into the collection area. The ones that have a separate blower powered by a small engine or by the PTO for the blades seem to work better. When I blow leaves I use my 20HP "leaf blower" My Cub Cadet lawn tractor.
i made a mulch cover for my Craftsman riding lawn tractor. i only rake leaves that are against the buildings and fences, the rest is just chopped up and spread around the lawn for natural fertilizer.
Sure stan go ahead and show the vid u were talking about I well watch that too. Stan keep them great vids coming there bud always like your vids before I hit play.
Hey Dr Doolittle/ Stan I was kind of thinking that mouse wanted to go home with you back in late 70s early 80s never had equipment like you do makes your job easier 👍
I'm all about leaf cleanups they are some of the most profitable jobs for me so I'll watch all the vids you got, especially if there's homemade equipment involved.
Hey Stan, can you do a video explain trailer hitches and why you should choose one over another? For example a ball hitch vs. a pintle hitch. Keep em' coming.
Big big storm tonight 4 Western New York. Can't wait to watch the video but resting for long couple days. I was definitely wondering if you looked into damstrong loadors. I guess they went up because of shipping cost and now they're at 65k if you looked into it please leave me a brief message stan. Thank you, Eddie - reliable snow removal LLC and safe plowing!
Definitely show what others are doing for cleanups, always like to see different methods. We generally start in the beds, clean then move to the back and hog all the leaves to the front with hurricane and leaf plows and suck up with a vac, while the guy on mower puts the final cut on.
I've used a cyclone rake the past 2 seasons. Saves a bunch of time. Also have a new mower for the season to so hopefully it will take even less time to do properties and become more efficient

Yeah your guys Stan probably don't realize how lucky they are. You get them so much good equipment to get the job done easily and quickly. When I did landscaping for many different companies over about 11 years. We would have been lucky to have one backpack blower between two guys working on that whole job. I have never even seen a mulching mower setup let alone that super blower yall had lol. But we would have to get it done in a day also but with just 2 guys. You lucky you got some good people around you too Stan. The landscape world always payed me badly for everything I did. I would work my butt off for nothing. I put my work ethic into other much different jobs though and it payed off. Landscaping is a passion I always had but wish I had you as a boss lol. Most of them don't care about their employees like you. I could still run a shovel left handed better than most people can normally haha. I would work so hard I learned to balance out my arms so I wouldn't overwork my right arm all the time. So I became pretty ambidextrous using a lot of tools for a long period of time.
Your very right. We also didn’t have much good equipment when I first started. It was tough. I lived what you described. So if I don’t have to go back to those days I’m not.
This was supposed to be teamwork, but everyone was scattered, sometimes a lot of people trying to work together get overwhelmed with machines around too. This whole mulch then bag is ruff in super tight areas, when things are that small and cluttered with objects I say screw mulch then bag. Also guys on backpack blowers go before mowers. So if it’s gonna take a hr to break the stuff out of the beds in front let the blower guys break it out, riders can focus on the bulk in the back. I just felt like there was a disconnect in communication

In the Great White North I just wait till all the leaves have fallen and do my last grass mow and mulch the leaves at the same time.
