Catching Finicky Fall TROUT on Jerkbaits! NJ Fall Trout Stocking 2020

In this video I take a trip on my local stretch of river in search of rainbow trout. For some reason the stocked trout this fall have been very finicky! They don’t seem to be interested in eating anything! After spotting some nice fish on my last trip I wasn’t able to get any to commit. I decided to throw a small rapala jerkbait, in hopes of getting a trout to bite out of aggression. By using the technique in this video it helped me land 3 nice trout! Lost a few in the process too! Overall had a great day enjoying the fall weather. I hope you like this video.

@@jamespleva3037 I fished a few spots in this video. Both the Rockaway River and the north Branch Raritan River. Had to work to find them. They got stocked in a lot of rivers, there should be some closer to you

Fall trout fishing is awesome. My friend wanted to take some fish back home but I normally don’t keep very many. I’ll keep some for myself here and there. Especially the stockies. Any wild stream I fish they will go back. I like catch and release too, and surprisingly sometimes there is no cooking in my videos 😂.

That was pretty darn good fishing trip! Have your tried using shrimp or nightcrawlers!? On our fishing trip to Northern Nevada we slaughtered the trout on nightcrawlers! God bless!

Get the rubber net! Then you don't have to be struggling with the hooks in the net. It also is better for the fish cause it doesn't take the slime coating off!! 🎣

Extremely finicky this year. I heard the pink is from hatchery food. They dyed the food a week before the stocking
I couldn’t agree more, multiple people I’ve talked to have spotted huge fish but can’t get them to bite anything! That’s interesting about the pink....

Thanks BFO! Fall trout fishing is really awesome. Here in nj the during the fall the fish&game stocks fewer fish but bigger sized, which is fine by me! I’ve seen some really big ones in there that won’t bite! You gotta get out there for some trout, it’s very peaceful 👍👍
