They seem close, ultra model sometimes has better depth although less color sometimes. Zoom and night-time are a lot better and just a smidge better on the ultra respectively. I personally prefer the shape, weight form of the s24. I don't need S pen, I don't see any use for it, so I'd rather save a few hundred bucks and buy the S24 or S24+ rather then buying the ultra.

s24 seems a bit blown out, but more colorful. s24 ultra seems more accurate and darker.

Just broke my s22 ultra and honestly as a long time user I feel that the camera was way better on mine than on the s24 ultra. So just saved a couple of hundreds and ordered the regular s24 (had a regular s21 before that, and this time the ultra is not worth the investment)

@@Cpt.Future-l9f If you need to use an 8K monitor to justify a difference in quality, then the difference does not realistically matter. I'm on 1440p and the difference is minimal; obviously the S24 Ultra is sharper but sometimes it also has awful color balance.

I'm really on the fence between these two phones. I've been waiting 4 and half years to upgrade from my Note 10 plus. I prefer the form factor of the S24 Plus but I was concerned about the cameras and no S Pen.

Don't do it. Wait for s25 at least. S23 is even a better buy then s24.

I'd hold off for the S25 and even if you aren't impressed by it you can get the S24 series at half the price once the S25 is out. The camera in the S24 series is very inconsistent.

same here... s24+ potrait mode video is better than ultra potrait mode... only thing holding me back to buy is s24+ exynos... and ultra camera sux and it has snap dragon... wish it was other way round

I love my s24+, form factor is amazing. Battery is phenomenal. Super fast (Snapdragon version). Cameras are solid. Happy with it

For the size of both the plus and ultra being large phones, I’d go with ultra. If you want smaller the regular s24.

How are the shutter speeds between the two phones?

I went from the iphone 15 promax to the s24. I had to because it was cheaper on my monthly bill. And the two different phone have pretty all the same stuff. Except the 15 promax was 1200 and the samsung was 700. Though. 15 promax i could take clear pics of the stars and the samaung i can't. (Sadly) I thought I didn't hit a good deal on this one. I guess i did! The image ai quality needs work, but i do say the phone can compete.
I do say they are about the same til you hit 10x Zoom. The s24 saturates too much, missing so much detail, and the ultra holds the detail a bit better. (I think that's how damsung sells that phone. By giving the ultra the better ai) and in the videos.They aree about thebsame til about 10x zoom. S24 gets a bit grainy looking while the ultra holds up well.

It is actually a common issue with the ultra, but they will probably fix it in a later update
