This is exactly what I wanted to say! I don’t have daughters but feel it’s equally important to show my 3 sons how a lady should dress. Not only that, but that they can take pride in what they wear too! After breakfast we all go change into our day clothes. No more lounging in our pjs all day everyday like so many families do nowadays (and I used to). Considering my boys are 3.5, 2 and 7 months, if we can do it anyone can!

You have such a lovely voice! I have found that there is nothing worse for me than a crisp white button up shirt: I am small, but rather large busted and short-waisted so tucked in does not work and left out looks boxy. Also, my pale, creamy skin is not flattered by white.
My recent obsessions are bodysuits. I love the tucked in, clean look they give. Whenever I don't know what to wear it's generally jeans + blazer + bodysuit combo :)

My two closet essentials I found have been a very well cut cotton trouser (typically a very dark blue) and a blue windowpane sport coat that is unlined. Being very stocky, I find that an unlined jacket fits my shoulder incredibly well as apposed to a shoulder pad that looks like it pulls away from my body. I have multiples of the same two items in different patterns and fabrics all in a darker blue. I love how confident you are and I'm so glad I found your channel.

I don't wear that many trousers or jeans, but find that a navy and black lined skirt has the same kind of flexibility that trousers do. I can dress them up or down and they give me a lot of different options.
Would love to recommend the brand Democracy for anyone looking for a new pair of jeans. These are a best seller at the women's clothing store I co-manage and they fit like a dream. Button-up or pull-on, the come in missy petite and plus sizes. I fell in love with them because of the band of stretch in the inside, which makes a flatter appearance on the tummy, but also I have a booty, and that weird buckle at the top never happens in these. Just a recommendation!

for me a problem was that i used to buy online cheap clothes and regretting it some time after because the quality and fit was bad, so i would suggest take your time and go to stores and check the fabrics and so on :D

Great tips, thank you. Perhaps the best wardrobe investment I've ever made was my trusty tailored black blazer. I also depend on my small collection of flats from suede to patent, ballet to Mary Janes (in different colors but most definitely black). How about a video on "Accessory Staples" like footwear, belts, and bags, if you haven't done one already? That would be great! Thanks again.
My favorite jeans are from a brand called Imogene and Willie in the Sophie style, a high rise straight leg mid wash. They are almost 100% cotton and do require a few wears to truly "break them in" however they are so flattering and I am so glad I waited to find the right pair of jeans instead of a couple mediocre pairs.
I am so torn! I have a larger chest and a short torso (I’m short in general) but I love wearing tight-fitting turtlenecks and mock necks. My mother always comments that it doesn’t suit me, but I just love the style! lol
One of my favorite wardrobe staples are black tee shirts. I have different sleeve lengths for the seasons. I wear them with jeans, pants, skirts and under another top.

I totally love your vids! They are magical cause they bring beautiful Italian vibes and they inspire me so so much.. I have travelled to Italy a couple of times and it's never enough. I am Greek and I have been raised hearing my mother say that we should go and shop from certain shops cause they have Italian clothes, which are the best. So since I was a child, I knew the value of Italian wear. My staples are a black blazer, a pair of black italian heels and a croco style shoulder bag, which skyrockers every single style I wear. My wardrobe should be expanded to more staple pieces, but for now I am keeping it mostly minimal. I have a beige Karen Scott skort, basically light shorts under a skirt. Actually, I have several and 'm wearing one now. It's sturdy and practical like shorts, but the skirt on top elevates the look. The neutral color goes with everything, and flatters me very much as my seasonal color is Summer (see Carole Jackson's classic book Color Me Beautiful).

Being high waisted, I have a hard time finding the right and comfortable waist on pants and jeans. Mid-rise seems to work best, then taken in at the waist. Thank you for the reminder about pockets; and about shopping in the men's dept.

Great video Annalisa, currently I'm 48 years, and is your 2nd video I see. and finally, no Sarah garment! but you mentioned Banana Republic, J Crew! Flashback with hose, and I still have garments from that time. I also preserve those clothes (I hand wash that item). I still have a mid rise Mango jeans and low rise flare and boot cut. Personally, I prefer wear trousers currently, my body had body changes, and denim is my worst enemy. In between us, use to worked in a jean store back @'94, and back then My favorite were the Lucky brand, love them in my early days, I prefer trousers

For the shape you can get it tailored to fit your waist and not look boxi.color wise definitely go with what makes you look the best. ❤️

for me a problem was that i used to buy online cheap clothes and regretting it some time after because the quality and fit was bad, so i would suggest take your time and go to stores and check the fabrics and so on :D

Very true what you explain in the video. I love being comfortable in the clothes and shoes that I wear. I always look for pieces with a classic cut that are always in fashion. I also consider the material in which the piece is made. As you explain in the video, the quality of the material determines the durability of the piece. Great tips, thank you. Perhaps the best wardrobe investment I've ever made was my trusty tailored black blazer. I also depend on my small collection of flats from suede to patent, ballet to Mary Janes (in different colors but most definitely black). How about a video on "Accessory Staples" like footwear, belts, and bags, if you haven't done one already? That would be great! Thanks again.

My favorite jeans are from a brand called Imogene and Willie in the Sophie style, a high rise straight leg mid wash. They are almost 100% cotton and do require a few wears to truly "break them in" however they are so flattering and I am so glad I waited to find the right pair of jeans instead of a couple mediocre pairs.

I totally love your vids! They are magical cause they bring beautiful Italian vibes and they inspire me so so much.. I have travelled to Italy a couple of times and it's never enough. I am Greek and I have been raised hearing my mother say that we should go and shop from certain shops cause they have Italian clothes, which are the best. So since I was a child, I knew the value of Italian wear. My staples are a black blazer, a pair of black italian heels and a croco style shoulder bag, which skyrockers every single style I wear. My wardrobe should be expanded to more staple pieces, but for now I am keeping it mostly minimal. I have a beige Karen Scott skort, basically light shorts under a skirt. Actually, I have several and 'm wearing one now. It's sturdy and practical like shorts, but the skirt on top elevates the look. The neutral color goes with everything, and flatters me very much as my seasonal color is Summer (see Carole Jackson's classic book Color Me Beautiful).

Being high waisted, I have a hard time finding the right and comfortable waist on pants and jeans. Mid-rise seems to work best, then taken in at the waist. Thank you for the reminder about pockets; and about shopping in the men's dept.

Great video Annalisa, currently I'm 48 years, and is your 2nd video I see. and finally, no Sarah garment! but you mentioned Banana Republic, J Crew! Flashback with hose, and I still have garments from that time. I also preserve those clothes (I hand wash that item).
I still have a mid rise Mango jeans and low rise flare and boot cut. Personally, I prefer wear trousers currently, my body had body changes, and denim is my worst enemy. In between us, use to worked in a jean store back @'94, and back then My favorite were the Lucky brand, love them in my early days, I prefer trousers
