Lorenzo really loved his kids even Cane. Their car scene heart to heart was beautiful. Reminded me of my dad and I. He was hard on me growing up but was proud of me regardless💯.
The writers of the show did Lorenzo dirty. I was starting to like Lorenzo. He stood and died by the principles of protecting his family. He was the only character on the show who cared about Cane, Diana and Dru. Lorenzo was Cane, Dru, and Diana’s father. He was supportive towards Diana’s decision when Diana wanted to go to school and also mentored Dru. I wish Lorenzo’s character was developed more, but he was wasted just like my dawg Mecca Spears, Zeke’s father. He was trying to do what was best for his family. He was willing to die for for his family. He showed that when he dang near jumped in front of a bullet for Cane. Lorenzo always seemed like a good character. He never seemed to be on some shady ish. He just made mistakes based on how shady his family is moving. Rest In Peace, King Lorenzo Tejada aka Mr. Cane Senior, 1972-2023.
Big facts book 2 showed how secrets mess things up. Honestly the whole book was about secrets. Money kept so many secrets and every one of them ended up basically killing her, her son and her husband. Literally if monet told lorenzo what was going on the day he got out they wouldn’t have been blind sided by mecca. In fact most problems was because of the tejads and tariq just trying to help. Like think of it. Mecca=noma and those was the last two villains and mecca was only there for monet really, and noma showed up because monet killed mecca. None of that has jack to do with tariq it’s all of monet lies starting with zeke being her son.
I agree. He’s been getting sloppy and overly confident. He’s never been built like a true leader type but more of a 2nd in command. Dru definitely isn’t much better. They killed off Lorenzo too soon and could’ve done more with his character.
