I am thankful for her for raising Taeju well who gave Miri so much love. It's like, I leave you to raise the person you'll marry. hahaha. Funny thinking, but yeah. I think that way to lessen the hurt I feel for Miri's situation. If she did not leave Miri, there would be a totally different story. Maybe Taeju would never be the same man he is if Ms. Jeon did not raise him.

In Korea’s past this kind of thing did occur. In some cases kids were just left at train stations. The police would take them to an orphanage. Also, some of the many Korean babies and children given up for adoption had families. In an extreme case a twin was given up for adoption because he had medical issues. The family chose to keep the healthy twin. I can’t judge a family for making this decision because they were very poor. In the end the twins were reunited when they were adults.
