I have boosted the sub of the guitars too x'D. I love that pultec trick EQ shape with the boost and cut but with a normal 7 band pro tools EQ because I can make it sharper and it really enhances the realism of being next to a guitar cabinet that sounds woofy and powerful. I always still high pass right up to it and try to get it balanced just right but that 20 to 100 hz, especially up at 100 is where that sound lives and so I find ways to make it work so that I can get that effect from the guitars.
Your mixes and riffs are beyond amazing..and that’s a rarity today in my opinion. They are undeniable. In fact I’ve been spinning that Loreweaver stuff a lot. It just crushes and I fully believe you have your own thing going on. I call it “chug-core”. It feels new..and you have inspired me sir. PLEASE keep doing what your doing
Keep these videos coming. I am struggling to find my way through mixing and though I am not in the same genres as you, these videos are helpful and motivating. Thank you!
its okay to sound good but the issue when it's done in a way some do because they usually have no technical background and never care to explain how effects, dynamics, eqs, etc work, and how it can add so many more problems and then they have to correct them and end with 6 dynamics and eq on a track that you maybe just needed to record the right way. Master the rules to break them is the way to go, and master how sound and hardware works. This way you can understand that there are no rules, just knowledge to fix, correct, add, substract.
I believe it dude; You have a killer sound.
Always loving these "homie talk" videos, man. 👏🦖
you got a perfect sound keep the good work

Haven't tried OTT on my DI. I know what I want to experiment with tomorrow. Thanks
