The way that BTS has written ARMY so many love songs... This song was a love letter to their history and to ARMYs who walked the road with them. You can't be an ARMY and not feel loved by BTS.

I love this MV so much - this one and "Yet to Come" are filled with references to previous MVs and meaningful details put there especially for ARMYs, because they knew we would understand and recognize them ♥
This one especially has so many painful images - the award show where they were crying, the "black ocean" represented by the dark wave, the shards of glass being thrown at them, Yoongi's shoulder injury (he's holding his left arm during his verse)... it makes me want to cry every time I watch it.
Also I always understood "we are not seven with you" as "we are MORE than seven with you", as in they're no longer "only seven", they have all of us on their side ♥

Also Yoongi with his pink hair and the navy shirt from their first music show performance of 'I Need U'. The other members were wearing cream shirts. They were from a couple outfit set where the men's was cream and the women's was navy. But Yoongi was losing so much weight due to anxiety at that time that only the women's sizes would fit him. 😭

the song was actually part of mots:7 but they released this mv for festa. the references you missed, the first one with namjoon was their old dance practice room with that iconic backdrop with the bighit logo. next is jungkook in the no more dream mv with the school bus, taehyung on the checkered floor which is the mv for we are bulletproof pt2 (tae was wearing the glasses, there's an iconic part of the choreo for no more dream where yoongi shot at tae and his glasses will fall off), and seokjin on that hallway which is the boy in luv mv. another is the not today mv right after the blood sweat and tears then the spring day mv (the one you thought was stay gold). then, on that platform where they were in a circle, it was a reference to their born singer performance. and yes, that was a reference to the mama show, in fact, tae was holding a mama trophy if you look closely. for the whale, it started from their song whalien 52 which is part of their hyyh pt2 album 💜

Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. This one is talking about their love for army, yes. It does show their MV history. And it's one of their songs that had me crying as baby army. Back than I was still Jimin biased and wild about all his info. I knew little about the members and just was reading the lyrics. I was like wait wait is this for the fans. And after so many years in the song they still ask why are we walking with them? 0.0 God, that gets me. That really goes to the heart. Like how can they ask that so many years later! Shoot. Love the feels. Stunning vocals. This was a 7 year anniversary Festa gift from them to us. Gosh darn it. Love them so much. Not many groups last during the 7 year. An oceanographer found out about BTS' song Whalien 52 and he loved how they expressed the whale's plight. They thought they lost the whale but what they found last year was there is a hybrid blue whale that makes the same frequency. So it's possible for there to be more in the future.
There are A LOT of references in this beyond them running through their MVs. The best explanation I’ve seen was actually from another reactor who was introducing her friends to BTS. The channel is Mycupoftv and I’ll link below. Sometimes YT eats links, so if it does, search the channel and bulletproof and it will come up. They watch it through once and then she literally takes them moment by moment through the MV. You can skip to about 14:34 to get right to what she starts talking about.
The black wave leaves me in tears every time. Other fandoms gave bts a black ocean twice at award shows in 2016. Most of time, fans keep their lightsticks on regardless of the group performing. Giving a black ocean is when they all put their sticks down so that the group on stage looks out and only sees black. It’s awful and disrespectful and utterly demoralizing.

Bulletproof The Eternal always makes me ugly cry no matter what. I might hold it up to one point but when Spring Day MV comes on and the purple lights start doing their thing, it's over. I see them in my dreams so often, just casually, but content like this makes me wonder whether they dream of purple lights most nights as well.

The whale is from the song "whalien 52" the song is about the loneliest whale 52 that sings in a different frequency from other whales, it sings 52 hertz while other whales sing 20-24 herts so because of that its song always goes unanswered.

This was not a single but was part of the Map of the soul:7 album, which is an album about their 7 years as BTS. the entire album & THIS song.. it's just soo meaningful & have such a special place in all our hearts 😭 Also it's great to see that you were able to recognize some of their MVs, from the beginning of the mv till the end, all the MV's were each of their eras in those 7 years.. No more dream, we are bulletproof pt2, N.O, Danger, Young forever, RUN, Blood sweat & tears, Not today, Spring day & at the end Boy with luv. They didn't included the MOTS:7 era in the MV bcs covid came right when they started that era & they were not able to spend it with ARMYs :(( thats why in the MV only till Boy with luv era is shown. Also 7:09 here this is spring day MV. And 8:15 this is the exact depiction of their "Born singer" performance in 2015 (you should def. watch that), that performance has so much value & is so close to all of our hearts too💜

Your humility, your kindness, your brotherhood, your talent, your hard work, your sacrifices? There are a multiple groups of ARMY who write songs for BTS; in 2020, Gracie Ranan (who has organized several of these songs with ARMY all over the globe) released "7 Reasons" to answer the question Jin asks in these lyrics. Definitely would recommend you react to it with tissue box close at hand. There are a whole series of these. Then there are videos from 2022 of JK learning about these songs and listening to them on a live. Also Jimin and RM. Oh boy. Set aside awhile for those reactions.
